Existing templates that are applied to nodes are not updated as part of the upgrade process. The reason being that we don't want to negatively impact your production environment by making changes to application templates in use in your environment through the upgrade process. In some instances customers may have customized…

CDO must be installed on the Orion server before the MAPI User Experience Monitor will work. I suggest following the MAPI troubleshooting steps outlined in the Administrators Guide. My recommendation however is to use the Exchange Web Services User Experience Monitor instead of the MAPI User Experience Monitor because it…

This alert is very similar to the out-of-the-box "Alert me when an application goes down" Advanced Alert. First ensure the alert is enabled. The next question is if this alert appears in the list of All Triggered Alerts resource on the Orion summary view?
-
Have you tried telneting to this port from the Orion server itself? Better yet, have you tried a tool like the TCP Port Scanner in the Engineers Toolset, or a free tool like Advanced Port Scanner 1.3 on the Orion server running against that host?

Hmmm.. It's going to seam like a hack, because it is but the only way I can think of would be to start out monitoring another SNMPv3 node in your environment using the same SNMP v3 information you plan to use on this device. Be sure not to select any items shown in "List Resource". Once configured and working properly,…

SAM does not collect this information. This type of information could however be reported on using Patch Manager.

SAM does not support CAC card credential handling for authentication in the HTTP/HTTPS user experience monitors. I would recommend looking at Web Performance Monitor, as that's much more likely to support CAC card authentication against remotely monitored websites and web applications.

Perhaps there is someone in the community more clever than me (that I have no doubt of) but honestly I cannot think of a way in which to accomplish what you are trying to achieve within a single alert. At best this would need to be two separate alerts. Those that want to be alerted immediately, and those that wish to be…

I believe this is discussed in some detail within the following thread. Disk Volume Percent Used in Critical State (Red) isn't reflected in at the node level indicator

Groups can contain virtually any object type. If you're trying to filter solely based on Node, then I would recommend using Custom Properties instead.
-
You can use the Alert Manager to configure policies which will update Custom Property values on Nodes as they're added to Orion.

As I've understood, Windows scheduled tasks that fails are found in Application -> Summary view and Application -> Windows view. But I would like to create a view that simply list all WST on all relevant nodes. Is that possible? Two out-of-the-box reports are included with SAM. The "Windows Scheduled Tasks General Report"…

If you need to execute something like arping when a failover occurs you can do so using the Advanced Alert Manager. There is an out-of-the-box example entitled 'Update High Availability Active Member DNS Record on AWS Route53 When Failover Occurs' that you can copy and modify the trigger actions to better suit your…

Have you considered creating a node Custom Properties and entering warranty information there?

As seen in the screenshot you attached, a numeric value of some form or type must be returned as part of the output of the script. Message text is optional, but a numeric value is not. Here you can learn more about creating Nagios Script Monitors. The script ran successfully. | 'CPU%'=75.2 'MemoryRemainingInKB'=600748

Some metrics are Exchange version specific. This component is disabled because it's not available on the version of Exchange you are currently monitoring.
-
It's not currently possibly with Orion or APM to monitor the overall CPU/Memory or any disk space information using WMI or SNMP. You might want to take a look at installing SNMP Informant on your servers, which will make then accessible via SNMPv3. Then you can use Orion to monitor these performance metrics. No APM needed.

Have you tried using the Nagios Plugins provided by Percona with SAM's Nagios Script Monitor? * Percona Monitoring Plugins for Nagios — Percona Monitoring Plugins Documentation

It sounds as though someone may have changed the password. If you haven't gotten very far with your initial configuration the easiest way to bypass the credentials issue you are running into is to re-run the Configuration WIzard. When you get the Database portion, select the option to create a new database. Do not re-use…

All you should need to do is monitor the web site using something like SAM's HTTP or HTTPS User Experience Monitors. Then the out-of-the-box alert "Alert me when a component goes down" should trigger when/if the website is down. Simply configure an appropriate trigger action to notify you and you're done.
-
Unfortunately this can only be done for each individual component, though making this change at the template level once will propagate out to any instances where AppInsight for SQL is applied.

Are you monitoring all Exchange servers in the DAG or just this one?

Array health is supported by SAM's Hardware Health monitoring for Dell, HP, and IBM/Lenovo servers.

SAM's email user experience monitors generate email and validate it was both sent and received properly, but do not check for the existence of user definable message content, such as those created by other 3rd party applications and alert you if some content string is matched. We do however have a totally free (as in beer)…

Yes, that is precisely how a multi-subnet failover configuration would function. Now not everyone has backups for their APEs, and chooses instead to monitor their most critical systems from their main poller. In the event of a disaster, the main poller fails over to the DR location and continues to monitor critical items,…

Virtual Memory in Orion is considered a volume. As such it inherits the Disk thresholds as defined under [Settings - Orion Thresholds] as pictured below.

The message is stating that a single forum was found on the page called "login", which has three inputs, 'camefrom' 'email' and 'password'. Without seeing the page source for the page being monitored it's difficult to provide more information. Such as, what is 'camefrom', and is it required?

The screenshot you provided is not AppInsight for Exchange but rather the Exchange 2010 Mailbox Role Counters (Advanced) template. At least that's what it says in the top left of your screenshot. Based on the errors you're seeing it may be possible that the wrong View is assigned to the AppInsight application. The easiest…

SAM does not currently include a template for monitoring Microsoft DirectAccess but I have logged this as a feature request internally under FB242841. In the meantime, others in the community may be able to provide you with some insight as to how they've gone about monitoring their own DirectAccess environment.

Topology information is collected by default for all WMI managed nodes. There is no check box under "List Resources", but this information is indeed collected for WMI nodes as the image below shows. Routing information is only available for SNMP nodes, but really provides no value for Windows Servers. That is unless you're…
