Component Monitors can be added groups, not that Application Templates can be assigned to groups. Groups can contain any object type (Interfaces, volumes, transactions, etc) just to name a few. Nodes are but one object type that can be added to a group. Groups were initially designed to complement dependencies in Orion so…

I'll assume you're referring to the NextGen Healthcare Information System, and not the NextGEN Gallery WordPress Plugin

Easiest option would be to write a POP3 or IPAM email fetch script in SAM that looks for the existence of a specific email. VBScript Search IMAP Mailbox for Email Matching Criteria
-
This isn't possible using WPM, but that type of information is available using AppInsight for IIS in Server & Application Monitor.
-
Have you taken a look at AppInsight for SQL?
-
Are you trying to chart the total number of processes running on the server? Is this for Windows or Unix servers?

SAM includes support for running Nagios Scripts natively using the Nagios Script Monitor. If you had this monitored before with Nagios it should be a rather trivial task to copy this script over into SAM.

Have you considered adding a new component to this template via the Component Monitor Wizard [Settings -> SAM Settings -> Component Monitor Wizard -> Windows Performance Counter] and add the percentage based memory metric you are looking for?

If you own NPM you can use this Universal Device Poller template that's available in the Content Exchange to monitor your Jacarta device. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-122315

Have you considered using Application Custom Properties in the To or CC files of the Alert notification to dynamically notify the appropriate party depending upon the application? * Application custom properties in Advanced Alert Manager * Application custom properties in advanced alerts * Re: How do you reference an…

The template description does not appear to work with groups for reasons I cannot explain. I will file this as a bug. I would strongly suggest instead that you use application Custom Properties. I've verified these work and are a much better candidate for what you're trying to accomplish.

The "Group Details" view is shared by all groups, so any resource that is added to this view will also be visible when viewing any other group. You may instead want to consider using a Summary view, utilizing view limitations and assigning that view only to the user who needs to see it.

Without seeing the alerts it's hard to say for certain, but there is a difference between application and node based alerts. Alerts for application CPU/Memory usually involve a monitored process or service that is consuming a lot of resources. This may explain why you are receiving an alert, but honestly it's just a guess.…

The script output must be properly formatted. Scripts Must Report Status Through Exit Codes Scripts must report their status by exiting with the appropriate exit code: Exit Code Meaning 0 Up 1 Down 2 Warning 3 Critical Any other value Unknown Detail Type Required Meaning Statistic Yes A numeric value used to determine how…

It's likely an issue of GET vs GET-NEXT. The APM SNMP Component Monitor supports the GET method, but not the GET-NEXT method like the UnDP does. Be sure to specify the exact OID ID in your SNMP Component Monitor and it should work. If you're not sure what the exact SNMP OID is you can try adding a .1 to the end to see if…

Conditions can be added to filter the report by going to [Settings -> Manage Reports -> Select "Software Inventory Report" -> Click "Edit Report" -> and editing the "SoftwareDataSet"] as pictured below.

The process is pretty painless. I've been though it several times. It's documented in the admin guide I'm pretty sure. The process is pretty much, backup DB, restore DB onto new server, re-run the SolarWinds Orion Configuration Wizard and point to the new database.

Have you tried using the Cisco Call Manager 10.x template as a starting point? There are also some older 8.x template available at the links below. * Cisco CallManager Services for CUCM v.8 * Cisco UCCX

The node polling method should be WMI for AppInsight for Exchange to appear under "List Resources". Also, it's important to note that AppInsight for Exchange is only applicable to Exchange 2010 and 2013 Mailbox Role servers. As such this option will not appear for other Exchange versions or Role servers. As for AppInsight…

Michael, can you tell me what specifically are you looking to monitor on Microsoft Dynamics? Are there specific metrics, counters, etc? We can certainly look into developing a template but I'd like your thoughts on what you consider important to monitor in Microsoft Dynamics.

Permissions for whichever group the user is a member of first based on the ordering under the "Groups" tab will be granted. You can change the order as necessary using the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons in the top menu bar.

Simply add a Custom Table Resource to any Summary View, select 'AppInsight for SQL: Database' as the data source and add the database 'Name' and 'Last Backup' fields to the table.

Before opening a case with support, I would recommend upgrading to SAM 6.2.3 first. There were several agent related bugs that were addressed in the SAM 6.2.2 and 6.2.3 releases.

It's very likely the query you're running is returning a table of information and/or string values. SAM supports the return of only a single numerical value as the result of a query. You can include an optional message field as well, but the first item returned must be a statistical integer value.

What exactly did you update on your SQL server? The .NET 4.8 is required only on the Orion application servers, not on the MSSQL database server.
-
Have you tried a tool like the TCP Port Scanner in the Engineers Toolset, or a free tool like Advanced Port Scanner 1.3 on the Orion server running against that host to see if either are those are able to connect to TCP Port 25?
-
From what you're describing you would want to look at the Windows Event Log Monitor first to define the criteria of the event/s you're looking for. From there the alerting should more or less take care of itself, provided you're using the out-of-the-box "Alert me when an application is down" alert.
-
These templates actually use RPC to collect Windows Performance Counters remotely, similar to Perfmon.exe. I would recommend opening Perfmon.exe on the SAM server and attempt to connect to these remotely monitored hosts and monitor performance counter data. If perfmon.exe also fails then it's likely as issue with the…

Alerts that remain within the Win32 Alert Manager could not be converted for some reason. Either these alerts were not properly defined and thus did not work prior to the migration, or the migration process was unable to convert them for some other reason. You can still continue to create new alerts in the Win32 Advanced…

Have you tried using the Operating System Field in Asset Inventory?
