I can't say I've seen this message before. Can you provide a screenshot so we can better understand the context as well as where precisely you're seeing this message?

You can use the ${USER}, and ${PASSWORD} macros within any script monitor in SAM to pass the username and password specified in the component settings.

What I believe you configured on your ESXi host was SNMP traps. ESXi doesn't support SNMP (get/set) methods of collecting information. This is handled through VMWare's API. You can change the node to an ICMP only node and enable "Poll for VMWare" to proceed with adding this host.

The information service runs on TCP port 17777 and is bound to all IP interfaces by default, not only localhost. The information service allows Additional Pollers and Additional Web Servers to communicate with the Orion server remotely which is why it's bound to all IP addresses on the Orion server.

The simplest, easiest, most straightforward way would be to change the IP address of the node that already has the application template applied to it. So going into old/original node and change the IP address of the host to the IP address of the new node will seamlessly start monitoring the new server without losing any of…

Patch Manger can and does support deployments far in excess of 60k nodes. To that end we do sell licenses sizes larger than 60,000 hosts, but it is recommended that you contact Sales and work with your Sales Rep and Sales Engineer to properly architect the solution and provide appropriate pricing.

I'm not sure why this escaped me but you can put the node into an unmanaged state. Right click on any node - "Node Details" - "UnManage". Enter a time and date of when the node should become managed again. What is nice is you don't have to remember to go back into Orion to re-manage the device. If you have advanced alerts…

If the filename is always the same you could use the File Age Monitor. If the directory should always have greater than X or less than X number of files you could use the File Count Monitor.

Export in PerfStack is disabled when there are no metrics plotted in the chart area, or when some charts are still loading.

Sorry. Nothing in Orion 8 that will help you with that problem. It's more then just a little crude but you could always stop the Advanced Alerting Engine service before beginning your maintenance.

If you are using the Advanced alerts you can can set the time of day and day of week you don't want to be alerted.

Is this limited only to the Real-Time Process Explorer? Are you able to monitor processes on these servers that are monitored as part of any of our out-of-the-box application templates, such as the Windows Server 2003-2012 Services and Counters template? Also, have you tried using the "Component Monitor Wizard" to browse…

There is a "isServer" property in SWQL that is used for the "Servers" category. If that flag is not set, and there is no application assigned, then it's not in the AppStack.

In this scenario I would recommend the use of Custom Properties rather than Groups.

This WinHttpSendRequest 12002 error is simply a timeout error. It means the Agent was unable to connect to the Orion Server in 'Active' agent mode. This is most commonly caused by hardware/software firewalls, router access control lists, proxy servers, between the Agent and the Orion server itself.
