APM does not natively support polling Round Robyn Databases, but there are a host of Nagios scripts available at the link below that can be used in APM to collect this information using our Nagios Script Monitor. http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Plugins/Databases/RRD

1. What are those arbitrary ports for? Each JVM will have it's own JMX port. If one is not specified via the command line or configuration file, then a random port will be automatically selected for use. 2. Can I avoid to open those ports? There's really no way of avoiding these open ports if you want to agentlessly…

I'm afraid there is no method for creating, customizing and application templates in an automated manner. However once these application templates are defined you can use the application discovery process which will automatically assign these application templates to your nodes. We do have an outstanding feature request…

SAM 6.2 (Currently in beta) allows you to define custom warning and critical thresholds on an individual per-volume basis. In the meantime however you can accomplish something very similar by following the steps outlined in the post below. Universal Monitoring and Alerting on free space for all logical disks across all…

Is this process/service shown as red/down in the SAM web interface when you stop the service? I'm trying to determine if this is a monitoring issue or an alerting issue. Also a screenshot as it's being monitored in the SAM web interface might be helpful.
-
Two questions. What version of Orion are you running, and do you have UAC enabled on the Vista client?
-
OS patches are categorized separately from software when the node is polled via WMI. This is because SNMP does not allow for us to separate out patches from software like WMI does. This information is readily available to you through the Orion Web Based Report Writer as pictured below.

SAM 6.3 Beta 2 is now available which includes a Linux Agent for Node, Volume, Interface, and Application monitoring. This agent should address many of the shortcomings associated with monitoring Linux host via SNMP, up to and including properly reflecting the Linux distribution and version running. If you already own…

Enabling SAM's Asset Inventory for the node will display the operating system as shown below, which can then be used for reporting purposes.
-
There is an out-of-the-box Report entitled "All Configured Alerts" that contains virtually all information contained in the "Summary of Alert configuration" view.
-
If you have the opportunity to upgrade to SAM 6.2.4 I would recommend doing so. We've made some fairly significant improvements to the web interface performance in that release.

Have you tried using either of the following application templates? Exchange 2007 - 2010 ESE Database Whitespace Monitor Exchange 2007 - 2010 ESE Database Size-Whitespace Monitor
-
Correct. IPAM is one of the only Orion based modules that does not currently support Additional Pollers.

The following counters are available in the Exchange 2013 Mailbox Role Counters (Advanced) template. Transport SMTP Receive: Messages Received/sec This monitor shows the number of messages received by the SMTP server each second. Transport SMTP Send: Messages Sent/sec This monitor shows the number of messages sent by the…

For those DHCP servers that are returning in error, do they have a scope defined in the subnet where your Orion server or Additional Polling Engine is located, and are there available IP addresses in the pool?
-
SAM does not currently collect information pertaining to the user the process is running under. This is however an outstanding feature request.
-
Mobile Devices are linked to individual mailboxes, not to any specific Exchange server. You could alter the mobile device report and use the count feature to give you a total number of mobile devices registered in Exchange.

The following Nagios Plugin should work the SAM's Nagios Script Monitor. * check_lxc_resources - Nagios Exchange

SAM 6.3 Beta 2 is now available which includes a Linux Agent for Node, Volume, Interface, and Application monitoring. This agent should address many of the shortcomings associated with monitoring Linux host via SNMP, up to and including properly calculating volume usage statistics referenced in this thread. If you already…

Instead of doing this in the script, which is actually pretty hard I would recommend creating a cron job that executes the logrotate command to rotate your message logs daily.
-
I'm not really sure this is possible using the Advanced Alerting Engine because Orion doesn't keep track of the number of times a device is rebooted. If you have your nodes configured to send SNMP traps to your Orion server you could define an alert rule to notify you when it receives two or more reboot traps from the…
-
You would need to create a universal device poller and use the "Universal Device Poller Radial Gauge" to display the actual rate instead of the percentage.
-
Have you tried to browse for these metrics using the Component Monitor Wizard for Windows Performance Counters? Windows Performance Counters use RPC to connect to the host, and functions independently of WMI. Metrics seen in Perfmon.exe are Windows Performance Counters. While often this information is also available via…

Not within the context of SAM's HTTP/HTTPS User Experience Monitor. This is however possible using Web Performance Monitor.
-
The Windows scripting host not remoteable. As such, all Windows Script Monitors are executed locally on the Orion server itself. If you need to execute a script on a remote host, I recommend instead using a Windows PowerShell Monitor.
-
What is the error being returned by SAM when this script is run? Also, have you enabled the "Run the script under specified account" option within the PowerShell component monitor?
-
This could in theory be done using a SQL Trigger Condition within the Alert Manager. If you need assistance writing the SQL query itself I would recommend posting this question to the Alert Lab forum.

Not currently, but why not configure the server to use NTP? That should solve the time drift issue you're having.
