This sounds like a newly introduced bug in PagerDuty as there are many in the community who have used this service for years without issue. Is it possible this only occurs when the "\" character exists in the subject line of the email, or is this easily reproducible when the volume name/description is only in the message…

AppInsight for Oracle is something we're considering for a future release, but unfortunately I don't have any specific time frames I can share at this time.

This can also be done natively if you also own NCM.
-
The approach I would is recommend to execute Sysinternals psshutdown.exe command as the Trigger Action as the result of a Trigger Condition of the Advanced Alert Manager.
-
Certainly. Simply define an alert to notify you when a volume, interface, or application monitored on that host is in an "unknown" state.
-
Have you enabled the HTML formatted email on in the Advanced Alert?

Network Interface Monitoring for nodes managed via WMI was included in the SAM 5.5 release.
-
This could be done in theory using advanced SQL but it would take some doing to map back the components, to the application, to the node, to the group. Assuming of course you simply have the nodes in the group and not the components themselves. If you had the Components themselves directly in the group then this would be a…

The answer is yes, but the how is not nearly as easy to answer. Depending on how you want the information collected and displayed you have a few options. You can monitor essentially all of this information today simply by creating a custom application template. You can then create a custom SQL report in the Report Writer…

Menu bars can be created and customized per-user under [Home - Customize Menu Bars]. Tabs, at the top are added by products and are not (officially) user definable.

If you edit the node and select 'Include SNMP Credentials' you can provide you SNMPv3 information. It will then be used to collect 'location' and 'Contact' information via SNMP, as well as allow you to use SAM's SNMP Component Monitors against Agent managed nodes.
-
The messaging may be misleading. If the agent plugins have been successfully deployed then this status is simply stating that something has been installed on the server (likely Windows Updates) that are awaiting a reboot. If an update to the Agent is pushed out due to an upgrade the endpoints claiming they are in need of a…

How is the server you're monitoring managed in Orion? Is it a WMI managed node or SNMP? Can I suggest you use the Real-Time Process Explorer or Service Control Manager to select the processes and services you'd like monitored on that server.
-
Is this the SQL server your Orion server is using to store data, or are you monitoring this SQL Server using AppInsight for SQL?
-
Default polling interval and timeout values are 300 seconds, or 5 minutes. Depending upon the number of components in an application and their type, one minute polling may be unrealistic. You may also find that your poller is simply unable to handle the load, depending upon the total number of components being polled in…

Not a problem. You'll want to start by creating a new view for this user under [Settings - Add New View]. Name the view and select "Summary". Then click "submit". Add any resources to the page you want this user to see and customize them as necessary. When you're done creating and customizing the view you'll need to assign…

Most *nix operating systems require you to modify the snmpd.conf file to control what OID's the community string has access to. If you have support I would contact HP and ask them to assist you in properly configuring your snmpd.conf file.

Out of curiosity, what kind of device is this you're monitoring in SAM?

How is the node managed in Orion? Is it an ICMP node or is managed as an 'External' node type?
-
You will want to follow the steps under "Reassigning nodes to the new polling engine" in the Orion Migration document to update the engines table accordingly with new name of the Orion server.
-
It's likely that these user accounts have not been granted permission to the \Reports folder. In the user account settings scroll down to "Report Folder" and select '\Reports" as the picture below depicts. Submit/save your changes and try again. Let us know if that resolves the issue.
-
It's hard to determine the cause of the issue based solely upon the information provided, but the most common reason this error is returned is when the Orion server has insufficient memory to process the discovery results. If that's not the case, then I would suggest opening a case with support so we can have a look…

A major reason for the differences you're seeing between an HTTP Component monitor and basic ping test is the level of complexity and overhead associated with HTTP that simply doesn't exist with ICMP, so it's not surprising that your ICMP response time is 50% lower than your HTTP component monitor test. To see the variance…
