You can use the Report Writer to view more than 2000 events. You can also export those results in a simple text file, csv, Excel, etc.

This has been logged internally as a feature request under FB191776

"SA" would certainly be preferred, but the minimum SQL permissions required to use AppInsight for SQL are as follows: * Must be a member of the db_datareader role on the msdb system database. * Must have VIEW SERVER STATE permissions. * View any definition. * Connect permission to Master database. * Execute permission on…

monitoringlife, the type of transforms available in PerfStack today are analytical algorithms which allow for identifying things like anomalies or trends in the data. They cannot be used to perform mathematical formulas against multiple different metrics to derive a completely different metric. While that would be a pretty…

It looks as though you may be using the legacy chart resources. If when you hover your mouse over the chart you receive no interactive pop-up display, then you are using legacy charts. There are newer equivalent chart resources which can replace these legacy charts. Simply add them to the view no differently than you would…

This is possible today using Linux agent included in the SAM 6.3 Beta -> https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thwack-beta.jspa?groupID=1003

This has already been implemented in Virtualization Manager. You can read more about many of the new features available in the VMAN 6.2 beta blog post listed below. * VIRTUALIZATION MANAGER 6.2 BETA 1

Isn't this the very definition of the 'Reset Action'? You can customize the reset action to be completely unique from the trigger action if so desired. E.G. Send an email to a different email address, change the message body text, etc. etc..

Good catch. As you can see in the top action bar the "Start Monitoring" button is disabled and there's no ability to check/select the processes on the left. However, the "Start Monitoring" button under the "Assigned Application" column header is indeed active. I'll get this logged.

I would recommend deleting the 'SolarWinds NetPerfMon' website in IIS, as well as the 'SolarWinds Orion Application Pool'. Follow that up by deleting the 'C:\inetpub\solarwinds' directory and re-run the 'Website' portion of the Configuration Wizard.

johnny ringo, we appreciate that not all features as implemented will be suitable for all environments. There are definitely some additional advanced use cases, such as the ones you describe above that are high on our list to tackle in a subsequent release.

Service Directory logs are located under %ProgramData%\Solarwinds\Logs\Orion\ServiceDirectory

No sir. WMI and WINRM operate independently and there's no reliance or dependence on WINRM for proper WMI operation.

My response above was focused exclusively on your initial statement of "I would like to see support for Exchange 2013 be added to AppInsight for Exchange".

VMAN, SRM, and SCM follow the same architecture as the rest of Orion. Patch Manager runs on its own separate server and can be optionally integrated into the Orion webUI.

I have managed to reproduce the issue internally and it seems there are additional steps required for 12.0.1 and 12.1 due to the license store residing on the primary main poller. In NPM 12.2 the license store was moved into the database to prevent this issue from occurring. Thank you for point this out. I have updated the…

@aLTeReGo There was a log installer that was missing for the APE's that I had to get resolved on Friday. Was that fixed? Case # 00550186 Yes, it appears this issue was resolved in the final GA build under the context of internal case LOG-2982.

Closing this as a duplicate of the following idea https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/8577#start=25

Note that you can always download the version of the Scalability Engines installer that came with your version of Orion from within the product itself. It can be found under [Settings > All Settings > Polling Engines] This installer can be used for Additional Polling Engines, Additional Web Servers, or High Availability…

I believe group evaluation is done every 5min, so it's normal that the results are not immediate.

vharnum wrote: 2) In the instructions after the pool is removed.. it moves right on to changing the ip's. Nothing about also deleting the old server object that now shows down and then disabling High Availability for those of us that dont own HA. I assume at this point it's safe to proceed with those two steps? Yes, it is…

That's pretty much it. Just ensure you keep a backup copy of the database just in case.

It sounds like maybe what you're looking for is automatic visual mapping in Network Atlas of application dependencies. Possibly as defined through grouping and dependencies within Orion?
-
Yes, the latest version of all products you listed above are supported with NPM v12.

Not at this time.

We just completed an extensive round of testing and revalidated that neither the SPAS or NPAS effect the IIS web.config file. In fact the PAS/Agent doesn't interact with IIS in anyway based on our filemon and regmon integration. If you are able to reproduce this issue again, please let us know. Also if you have filemon or…

the_toilet, if you're willing to either post MIB walks from your IBM Blade Chassis here using this tool, or email them to me directly at the address below, I will add them to this feature request we're tracking internally. We wanted to add support for IBM Blade Chassis in the SAM 5.5 release but there was an insufficient…

Due to limitations in the Advanced Alert Manager, custom properties for applications are not available in the macro picklist. You can still however add these to your trigger action notifications using the following SQL macro format. * ${SQL:Select CustomPropertyName FROM APM_ApplicationCustomProperties WHERE ApplicationID…

That is correct, though that free tool should theoretically do the same thing as the 'Configure Server' button, allowing you to do this in bulk.
