I opened a case a month ago on this issue, case #76533 and I've yet to head anything back. If the forum gods could look into this for me and maybe poke the guy who's asleep at the support desk it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

What problem are you seeing? How are the nodes managed in Orion? What hardware vendor are using that is exhibiting issues?
-
Correct. Monitoring of devices (even switches and router) CPU & Memory is a function of Orion Core. This is native functionality with most Orion based products. The fact that you're seeing hardware health appear (albeit broken) for switches & routers with only having SAM installed is likely a bug. I recommend you open a…

Have you tried creating the report in the new Web Based Report Writer instead?

Without a diagnostic to look through it's difficult to determine the cause and I'm not aware of any systemic issue that could be causing this. I'd recommend opening a support case so we can troubleshoot this issue properly.

As stated in the component notes this component must be configured before use. Note: Before using this counter, you should set the correct instance beginning with: <HOSTNAME>\private$\solarwinds\collector\processingqueue where <HOSTNAME> - hostname (without < >) of target server, for example: APMhost. By default, the…

It sounds like your message queue may have been backed up. Have you applied theOrion Server application template to your server?

Values returned by the RealTimeProcessExplorer.exe are returned in Kilobytes. Unfortunately the unit of measurement is not a configurable option at this time. You can post this as a feature request however.

I posted an answer to a similar question earlier last week. It can be found here.

wlouisharris, do you by chance have a support case open for this issue? If so, would you be willing to share your case number?
-
How would this fit into your life? Good question Denny. Our administrators have a myriad of devices and programs that they use to monitor various RSS feeds. The help desk staff specifically requested an RSS feed so they can more easily monitor not just when something goes down, but when something comes back up. These…

The Agent was never a paid product, nor was it ever conceived as being a potentially paid product at any additional cost. The Agent has always used native product licensing. E.G. if you monitor a node with the Agent, Orion consumes a 'Node' license. If you monitor a volume, Orion consumes a Volume license. If you monitor a…

Windows Server 2012 and MSSQL 2012 are not supported with 2019.4. Windows Server 2016 and MSSQL 2014 are the earliest versions supported. If you have to upgrade your OS and Database server anyway, I would recommend upgrading to Windows Server 2019 and MSSQL 2019.

Hey Chuck. The Dell DRAC 5 does not support the interfaces MIB and therefore can not be added to Orion using the System Manager since its dependant on the Interfaces MIB for nodes to be added to Orion. The Web Node Manager does not have this limitation and therefore you can add SNMP nodes to Orion that don't support the…

While it's not necessarily a substitute for opening a support case, I wrote a little how-to illustrating how I was able to get Oracle DB monitoring to work with APM. It isn't a difficult task...but there isn't a ton of documentation on what components are needed, what needs to be configured, etc. This is an excellent…

Yes. The device needs to be added through the Orion web interface, and not through System Manager. The node manager in the web interface isn't dependant on the interfaces MIB.

A hotfix for 11.5.2 specifically will not be released. I would recommend applying 11.5.3 or upgrading to NPM 12.
-
A hotfix which addresses this issue for NPM 11.5.3 is now available in your Customer Portal, or from the link below. ORION PLATFORM 2015.1.3 HOT FIX 2 HotFix Link: http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/HotFix/OrionPlatform-v2015.1.35100-HotFix2.zip This release is currently on the customer Portal for customers…

A Hotfix for 11.5.3 should be available by end-of-week.
-
This is because the items related to the F5 are not under the node, but instead, have their own separate category.

We are also trying to figure this one out. We have HP SIM Agents and need the Hardware SNMP Traps. How do we know if the HP SIM MIB's are imported? If already own Orion NPM, or the Engineers Toolset you can use the MIB browser included with them to browse the MIB database. If you don't own either I would recommend…

Getting this fixed would be terrific, since I find myself singing and talking to myself quite a bit lately as I build APM Templates.People are starting to notice, and I'm getting a little afraid that people in white coats might be coming to visit my cube sometime soon. As for having "lots" of monitors, I'm not really sure…

azadmin, I believe the probably you ran into is a known issue we are tracking internally under VIM-5874.

I believe the following KB article should help you resolve the issue. AppInsight for Exchange error: Cannot identify correct space for volumes in mount points - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. He…

If you're seeing HF3, it means you are installing NAM, not NPM.
-
jeremy-genus, if you have a case open with support regarding this Agent update issue, please post your case number here.
-
There are a lot of fixes addressed. They are outlined in the release notes here > Orion Platform 2019.2 Release Notes & here > Network Performance Monitor 12.5 Release Notes You will find them listed under the 'Fixed Issues' section.
-
Note that QoE is included as part of SAM as well as NPM.

mikeit83 wrote: We upgraded to latest greatest as of 6/10/2019. Be aware that the .net framework needs to be at 4.7.2 (its in the release notes). I believe the upgrade process tries to install it, but requires a reboot- and must have access to the internet (for whatever reason). Not all of our orion servers have access to…

Ensure the time is in sync between all Polling Engines and the SQL database server. You'll also want to verify that all polling engines and the SQL database server are in the same timezone. Probably the easiest way to sync the time is to run the following at the command prompt of each server. You'll still need to check the…
