In what ways are view limitations unreliable?
-
Well it would seem I was mistaken. It looks like that was implemented back in 2009/2010. Orion Syslog/Trap - what we're working on...

Is that a full list of the interface counters? It looks like you're missing some counters that might help troubleshoot your problem.

It's possible that you may have stumped upon a bug, but I have one more thing I'd like you to try first. Also, what version of SAM 6.2 are you running (6.2, 6.2.1, 6.2.2, or .6.2.3)? Can you try editing the node and changing its IP address to the proper/correct IP that the DNS server is bound to? Use the "Select IP…

I believe the counter information being returned is valid/accurate for your environment size. The counter is returning 1-2 messages sent/received a second is roughly 60-120 messages a minute. The problem here is that this is a snapshot in time, queried once every five minutes. While it's great for knowing if you have a…

What type of information are you looking for (e.g. different model hardware)? We're looking for SNMP MIB walks from IBM Servers running the IBM Director Agent software so we can validate/test these in our lab for a server hardware monitoring feature we're currently developing for the next release of APM. More information…

cpelchat, if you are unable to resolve this issue on your own please open a case with support so we can investigate this issue further. It may be that AppInsight for Exchange is not handling the mailbox database rename properly and that would be considered a bug.

The -v is the switch used before the version of .NET is specified in the command line.
-
You can configure this at the alert action level to continue to notify on a recurring basis until the Trigger Condition is no longer true (value returns to zero) or the alert is manually acknowledged through the Orion web interface.

The template is being worked on currently. We'll make every attempt to ensure it works with Windows Server 2003/2008/R2. This template will be posted to Thwack when it's complete so be sure to check the Thwack APM Content Exchange occasionally. It's unlikely it will be done this week, but check back weekly as we…

It's important to note that Trendmicro's OfficeScan installs a transparent proxy and routes all browser traffic through it for purposes of picking up phishing sites and malware through the use of web reputation services. It's very probable that the removal of OfficeScan from the computer where the WPM agent resides will…

The following thread discusses this in greater depth. * Restart Server using Trigger Action

You can pass the REBOOT=suppress command as part of the execution parameters. This should eliminate the reboot.
-
Definitely the single installer, but you should make mention as you did for APM that NTA 3.6 includes the Additional Web Server components. It's a little confusing in the customer portal as-is. APM states that it contains the Additional Web Server components, while NTA 3.6 does not make mention of the Additional Web…

When you are on the details view for a particular database you can unmanage that database. This will stop SAM from monitoring that database but also prevent its status from effecting the overall application performance status.
-
The performance metrics aren't required if you're simply interested in being alerted to failover events. The Windows Event Log monitors are the primary method for determining when a failover occurs.
-
If my assumption is correct, the application's SNMP Damon is unaware of the operating system and does not support the HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.
-
Other than the "Month" filed, this appears to be identical the to the Application Availability reports provided out-of-the box.

@"bhumphrey" wrote:@"aLTeReGo" - Is this still the case in 2019.2+? I've got a 'Service Status - SNMP' component and the statistic threshold says 'Warning - not equal to null for a single poll' (since I don't really care about warning) and 'Critical - not equal to 1 for a single poll'. When the value comes back not equal…

It's very likely the WMI Repository on those hosts have become corrupted. I would recommend following the steps outlined in the following KB to resolve the issue. * SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Error message "Invalid Class" when using WMI monitors

Criteria such as what exactly? In theory you could filter the list based on group name begins with, contains, ends with, etc. if you built this using the Custom Table resource. The resource itself would not have twist downs, just the group name and status, but they would link directly to those groups details view where you…

Honestly, I'm not sure. Your best bet would be to reply to the product blog posting or this one regarding this new products name. It may be possible to signup to participate in the beta, or participate in usability studies. These would all be excellent questions for nicole pauls, the product manager for this new product.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Bronx will ensure the SAM Administrator's Guide is updated to reflect these Customer Portal navigation changes with the next update.

There are additional database table changes in the SAM 6.0 upgrade that will require migration, but reducing the amount of daily detail records in the database should significantly improve the upgrade data migration process performance. Keep us posted and let us know how it turned out. Also be sure to grab a diagnostic…

The reason why SAM is reporting memory in a warning state is because that's what VMware is reporting. Why VMware is reporting the memory being in a warning state is no really clear, but it's probably something I'd recommend running down in VMware's forums or by contacting their support. It may be something as simple as…

I would recommend posting this as a feature request in the appropriate Forum.

That is correct. AppInsight for SQL should not be applied to the individual cluster members. It should be assigned only to the shared VIP. AppInsight for SQL will give information related to the cluster and its members, but should not be assigned to each cluster member individually. By not requiring you to assign…

Agreed. In most cases users simply utilize the local administrators account or domain admin account. The optional Agent included in SAM 6.2 (currently in beta) operates in a least privilege mode by default, not requiring local or domain admin credentials to run and operate normally.

I'm in the same boat. Adding myself to the thread.

This value is in seconds, not milliseconds.
