if anyone else is getting this kind of error, it was a problem with the database server being in a different location to the solarwinds server. Migrated the DB to a new sql server in the same datacentre, and havent seen the error since.

i've opened a support case, i'll update this thread if / when i get a resolution thanks again

OK - worked it out - the threshold in milliseconds, not seconds - so setting to 12000 now shows correctly aLTeReGo‌ - just FYI - but if i use the baseline threshold - this sets it in the wrong format.

yep have done that - but it is the things like 'nodes with high response times' etc - the built in resources. They will look at all of the nodes regardless. Work around is, as you say to create a custom property and then filter the nodes on that in all of the resources. Its a pain - but it gets what i need.
