I fully support the idea of decoupling NTA & NPM licenses. Cisco also does not recommend turning on Netflow on "All devices". Example - in an environment of over 3000 devices being monitored by NPM with over 10000 interfaces Netflow is just turned on in just under a dozen devices.

Not to sound discouraging, but a better option would be consolidating all Solarwinds products - LEM, WHD, NPM, NTA and others on a common DB platform. First choice would be MS SQL (as most SW products already have a MS SQL option) Other choices - MySQL, PostGRE .. Oracle is an expensive choice (My View)

I would rather have a Software Asset Management solution like Flexera, Snow or Bigfix to manage software inventory rather than overload WHD. WHD first needs to do what it needs to do
