In the UnDP tool, pull up the custom Poller in the question. Click "Edit properties",please expand "Show Advanced Options" by selecting the + symbol. Make the following changes. Upgrading from NCM 5.5.2 directly to NCM 6.1 is supported. However I need more information. Is your NCM standalone or integrated? If integrated what other tools(include the version) are they? Are the SQL versions the same on NCM 5.5.2 and one to be on NCM 6.1?If different please provide details. Once I have the answers ,I…

I am trying to understand this question better. Please provide the answers for the questions below. -Have you added these servers to Orion? -If yes did you add using SNMP or WMI? If all the servers where added using snmp, then any changes made by your team on these servers can be notified using Alerts in NPM.
-
Need to look into the logs, its hard to say from here.So please open a support ticket to investigate further.Feel free to post back the Ticket# and the solution once issue is fixed.

You can check for the Accounts table in the Orion NPM database and see if any column is not looking good.
-
This link should help.

Don't think using variables in general tab is going to work any good. You can try this option. In the database, pull up the Alerts table.Look for the column named "LogMessage".Probably you could run an update query and see if it works. Let us know your progress.

Hi Goliath, All you have explained looks to be in the right direction. The Groups and limitation is one area which we have taken down for more enhancements. So I will go and add this to the enhancement list. Nandish

The Orion SDK should help to get this done. Here is a link to download and review them.

Looks like there is no option on the GUI and the Advanced Alert manager to really make changes for this one. Will look for a work around and get back to you.

I would suggest to take up Hard drive space of 150GB minimum for NPM(unlimited)+NTA(unlimited)+IPLSA(50) configuration. Again I would like to mention that this 150 GB should be minimum for a default historical data retention period according to the Admin guides for NPM and flows per second on NTA.Incase you might want to…

Here is the OID for Overture ISG-140. 1.3.6.1.4.1.7950.1.1.9 Once you pull up the "Universal Device Poller" you can always select "Browse MIB Tree" option which will take you to the bunch of MIBs available.

I don't think we can achieve the above mentioned task on our current Orion. We would take this as an enhancement request.I see the scenario explained demands the requirement. We will take this as an enhancement. Thanks for bringing this up.

Please try to rediscover and poll now,I believe it should be working fine.

I would completely agree with Yann's advice.Once you have started retaining the hourly data for 90 days this is where you could create a Report for the same. Open Orion Report Writer-->click New-->select Advanced SQL option from the list and come up with the SQL query satisfying your needs. To change the Polling…

Hi Walid, I was able to get the screen shots of the hardware requirements for each of them listed in the query.I would recommend you to send out the administrator guide which has a separate session explaining the Hardware requirements in detail to the customer apart from the screen shots copied below. 1) Orion NPM10…

Hi Raquel, Are you using NPM evaluation or the full version?Do you see any error message,if so please paste a screenshot of it.Or please give more details to track the issue.

You did the right thing by opening a ticket with support team.I am not sure if you had a chance to run the configuration wizard.

I would suggest to get the OID for traffic by contacting F5 directly.Once you get the OID causing the problem, you could do a snmpwalk and see what results are coming from the device. Here is one easy way to get the snmpwalk done. You could install the following tool set(evaluation version) from Solarwinds website. Here is…
