This probably needs to be in the HCO Feature requests now
-
Should only be an option. If you use are using Windows AD authentication / Entra ID users shouldn't have a local account to log into with. We wouldn't want the manual authentication removed because of the work that needs to be done by logging in with a local admin account to the SolarWinds environment.

In version 2024.1 I can add the descendants to the Controller Map
-
I opened a case for this. It is going to be a "feature request". Currently you have to duplicate dashboards to use them standalone or for each tabbed dashboard.
-
For those of us doing new HCO environments this would be great. Or at least the SWQL behind the classic dashboards that could be used to create modern dashboards. I have yet been able to figure this out. Maybe more database tables need to be opened to modern dashboards via SWQL.

Workaround: Don't let SolarWinds use DNS. Let your load balancer do everything for you.
-
Add filters for Vendor, Machine Type, a custom field
-
Agent Communication on Windows servers. Constantly having to restart agent services or reinstall agent.
-
You have to re-run the nodes through Network Discovery to change those options currently.

FROM SUPPORT: I checked internally and our development team has identified this, as a bug in our product. We have added this bug to our list of known defects and will prioritize it for future release according to its severity and impact to our customer base. The tracking nos. for this bug is OO-36421. The bug fix will be…

Which Security menu? The one from the main menu can be removed by removing it from the menu list. You don't have to delete it.
-
I created a modern dashboard of linked dashboards. I than link the dashboards to other dashboards. When you update the main linked one the others will update. Linked dashboards do export and import between environments though.
-
This is on the roadmap. At least they said it was during one of the 2025.1 webinars
-
It isn't just about it being able to be added again as a tabbed, it no longer exists as a standalone dashboard either. If they just duplicated the dashboard in the background into the tabs that would solve everyone's' issues. The end goal is not to have to manually create identical dashboards for each tabbed dashboard…

This is a current function. Manage Accounts > Home Page View . Default Summary View will change where the 'Home' button redirects.

Does SW DEV actually look at these? I think this is something that would be fixed in 6 years.
-
Concur. This would help with the stability of HA pools during patching cycles.

I have feature requests to improve Discovery also. Mine were around the lack of Windows and Linux Server Support * Discover and add agents to Windows or Linux Servers at one time. * Advanced settings in Monitoring settings and Monitoring Settings options tailored for servers - Filters on Volumes - Ability to add own…

There are feature requests with 100s of up votes for years that don't have any progress
-
Include Alert and Node Mute/Unmanage rights so the actions can be done in bulk.
-
Yes, that sums it up. We do have an open case with SolarWinds it has not made much progress. Looks like it is going to turn into a feature request. I'm going to link this discussion.

Opened a case with CyberArk. They don't have any plans to facilitate this integration either.

There is a variable for this Orion.Nodes.OrionSite.DisplayName AS [Orion Site]

Our Customer Support SolarWinds Manager told us they do look at the Feature Requests on Thwack, but then it is an internal discussion. When I questioned him about the long-term items in Thwack, he didn't have an answer. I'm building a HCO environment now and the amount of little stuff that should be fixed but isn't even on…

Yes, installing from the web console. I currently going through developing our secure process with SolarWinds support and Internal resources. There isn't a great process or documentation around discovery of more than a handful of nodes.
-
Our security team likes agents better. Just be sure to add the nodes via the SolarWinds Discovery process and not by local install to get the best results. You also don't have to worry about credentials changing or expiring using the agent.

This is a known issue. Even if it resolves after re-running config wizard and rebuilding the website, it returns during 90 day summarizations or whenever you have the active alert table set to clear. Case #:01587621

n.Node.Name like '%UK-IT-PIM11%'
