Hi, sorry for the delay, I've tried to get answer for you, but I was not successful. It seems that now I really need your help. Do you still have opened a case to SolarWinds support? If so, can you provide me a ticket number? I'll ensure the Devs will ask you one more favor that would help us more. In the mean-while, the…

Hi, may I ask you what version of Enterprise manager do you use for your Dell Compellent device and also what is the SMI-S provider version that hosts the Dell Compellent array? What I know, the latest SMI-S provider together with EM version 2014 and 2015 worked fine with SRM. There were just minor issues described in Raw…

I guess it is caused by post optimization of web site. It can take some time and probably the request just timed out, but the web site might work. Maybe the same message appears in IE browsers while you requesting pages that are not optimized yet. I suggest to use Firefox browser as it has bigger timeouts by default than…

OK, cool, thanks, working offline with you.

Problem is re-solved right now. Steps are described in Dell Compellent does not show any performance data

Hello xandurr, we have reproduced this issue only when an upgrade was performed from SRM 6.1 Beta1 to the SRM 6.1 RTM. Since upgrade scenario from any of beta versions is not supported, the best way is to open a support ticket (what you have done) in case you have it installed on your production environment.

Hi! What you described should be possible to get by reports as well, so as mrs.alterego suggested, lets move to Storage Resource Monitor space, try to post more specific requirements for reports and we will be happy to help you with that Regards Lubo
-
Thank you for your response, I am glad you are working now! Regards

Hi Josh, that misleading information should be fixed now
-
Hey Josh, many thanks for this info... as ">prawij and ">dsbalcau wrote, that should be about SRM Profiler. I'll review that notes and address all changes to be done as soon as possible. Thank you!

Hi, let me ask you, did the provided steps help you to fix the Configuration Wizard issue you have dealt with? Thanks Regards Lubo
-
I see, OK, cool, thank you for this information. This was really helpful. Try following now: 1. Connect to your SQL Server Management Studio and open up your SolarWinds database. 2. Search for table SRM_Templates. 3. Delete the "Version" column only. 4. Run Configuration Wizard and let the Configuration Wizard create it.…

Hi rer0dgers, hope you are fine! If I may ask you, have you been able to solve this issue? Is there anything that helped you to figure this out (service rebooting, advanced configuration, HP support, etc...)? Thank you in advance Regards Lubo

Have you tried to use native console to connect to that HP array to at least verify it is working as expected?
-
Well, yes. Once you uninstall or drop that machine out, try to ensure you deactivate the license before you do that. Once you have deactivated your license from the STM machine, you should remove the SRM - STM integration and activate the same license by License Manager directly on the SRM Orion machine. If you are…

I see, well yes. The port is configured (or should be) in the server config file (probably server.xml, not sure) on the SRM Profiler machine (STM). You can take a look and verify the port number (by default it is 8443). Also it has to be then mentioned as exception for your firewalls in the path between the servers you'd…

Please, do me a favor, try to execute this in your SQL Server Management Studio (open it, open SolarWinds database and run the script) and share with me the number. DECLARE @dbVersion int EXEC @dbVersion = dbo.GetSrmDbVersion print @dbVersion Thanks a lot!

Hello, as Jiri wrote, in SRM v 6.2 or below, there is a support for limitation but only on storage array level. So, if you limit the array entirely, it is working (also for all array's child element). But unfortunately, SRM in the current version (v 6.2) is not so far with the limitation configuration for other elements.…

Hi, the feature request is created now and is open for voting: Regards Lubo

Hi ">rer0dgers, I wanna ask, does your problem with the connectivity still persist? Have you been able to resolve it or are you still dealing with it? Thanks
-
And if you'd like to rewrite also the first SQL query to SWQL one (the one for Storage Array), you could use following: Array: ${N=SWQL;M=SELECT Volumes.StorageArray.DisplayName FROM Orion.SRM.Volumes WHERE VolumeID = ${N=SwisEntity;M=VolumeID} } Regards Lubo

Hi ">gbrance We have been working with Dell and we have currently released SRM 6.2 RC1 that can be found already in customer portal. Also Dell has newer version of Enterprise Manager v2015. If you upgrade both (try to consult that also with Dell representatives for upgrading EM), you can get better view for the volume…

Thanks a lot!

Thank you for this post, now I can see response from the CIM server of your array. Since there was the port re-connecting may I ask you to reboot that array entirely? Also, you can try to connect that array by its native console, it might also bring information of the further investigation. Thank you!

Hi, well, my knowledge about vendor's tools like that is minimal. What I am able to see is the metric in their API, but that information will not help you Regards Lubo

Hi, the datapoints in charts and polling interval are kind of two different things. * The polling interval is how often data is gathered from the device and put into SRM database. * Interval of datapoints (data sampling) is scale-able and aggregates all data from database into selected sample. By default the data sampling…

Hey ">ou56, yes it is true, you cannot activate the same license via License Manager. But what you can do is ensure the STM is up to date (STM version is at least 6.0). Then make sure the license is activated properly in STM product (what should already be). Then navigate to SRM Orion web console, navigate to "Settings"…

Hi bharris, I have not investigated this deeply, but what I have seen is the DHE (Diffie–Hellman key exchange - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) stops working for weak keys (maybe got deprecated - just a guess). The constraints above, that should be removed, allow tomcat server (used in STM) to use the DH key exchange…

Hi ">mronkko, what port do you mean? 8443 or 17777?
-
Hi, we will take this into our consideration, I will notify our Product Manager about this. I have also created feature request , so if you want, you can vote for that also. Regards Lubo
