  • I'm using a custom poller to query my UPS for when batteries need replaced but I dont want to change the status to "Down" because of this "Warning" would be ideal.
  • This would be great. We have multiple subnets that are statically assigned IPs only. So DHCP discovery is worthless for those. It would be ideal if IPAM could read the ARP tables of routers, and firewalls to inventory what IP addresses are in use. Thanks.
  • I found that the Hardware Sensors built into Cisco and other servers are very handy to use a temperature probes. It sure would be nice if the UPS hardware/temperature/humidity sensors could be used as easily.
  • Sure thing. I uploaded a content file shared with you.
  • I had to setup three alerts and each have two groups of conditions because each UPS vendor has different OIDs and each poller needs a unique name. So I cannot map unique OIDs to a common name that I know of. Maybe that's other feature request so we can make "generic" pollers with conditions for particular vendors. Easiest…
  • I have to monitor a cluster of web servers to make sure all of them are working correctly. That means each server has a unique URL to login. It sure would be great to actually edit the URL or even assign that as a variable when we assign the monitor to a location/player. Then we could just re-use the same transaction and…
  • I agree we should have a chart or something to show all CBQoS drops per interface, policy and class for today and hour.
  • This would be very helpful. I have IPSLA monitors from router-to-router but was still seeing Packet Loss reports in our ShoreTel server. After collecting all these I had to start manually looking at each interface in the path to determine where the problem was. Our WAN was running extreamly clean in terms of Jitter/Loss…
  • No, in fact this has now gotten even worse in our environment. We started using configuration macros in Cisco IOS and when you change the macro via removing and re-configuring it then macro is moved from its previous position in the config to the bottom of the macro list. The macro is not saved in alphabetical order its…
  • So apparently this has been implemented. I noticed that our APC gear now has a resource option of UPS. APC UPS Monitoring with ORION PLATFORM 2018.2 It does not work with our Eaton but maybe sometime in the future? jreves cobrien
  • Honestly I think FWSM is a crock. That whole product is just a select set of features that should have just been put in NCM. Compliance Reports anyone? From NCM or FWSM? They should just combine the products/teams and get to work on making NCM better. I use the same ACL between many devices so I would LOVE to have one…
  • Its crazy we are still waiting for this.
  • It does not look like this will work for assigning application monitors because its returning a object other than Nodes/Servers.
  • Yes, 1 million files. Its like the agent does not do any file management for the .result files. Agent version is 2020.2.6.50025 None of ours have crashed yet.
  • I was also having the same problem. In order for me to get things working again with hostheaders I did this. 1. Create the Orion Website on a dedicated port like 8080. Anything will work here, but 8080 is common http alternative. I use 8081 because 8080 is already used by another website. 2. Verify that the site is…
  • Hey thanks. Thats pretty helpful actually. I tried to use that from the Syslog alert, but it does not support variables like the monitor does. Thats a feature that would be nice. I was trying to use the Syslog alerts to detect issues on our desktops, and write scripts to automatically correct the problem. The scripts work.…
  • I would deffinatly like to know the syntax. If its possible Im supprised that support didnt know about it.
  • We use Hyper-V R2 now with System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 R2 and love it. It would be great if Orion was aware of Hyper-V virtualization like it is for VMWare.
  • +1 to adding ShoreTel to IPSLA.
  • I had the same issue. I went ahead and updated to 7.1.1 and still could not clear the stuck jobs. Manually removing them from the database was the only method that worked.
  • Why isnt there a rack graphic for both 600mm, and 750mm racks and graphics for servers built into map maker? I mean it should not be that difficult for SolarWinds to include a 1U/2U/3U/4U server graphic. It sure would make the rack diagrams a lot cleaner. Some of the work arounds you guys have done look great, but for such…
  • Close but its not really section aware. It cannot report on what section is in violation of the config and it has no method to remediate the violating section. I should have also included "Conditional/Nested RegEx Expressions" with this request but it makes for a pretty big RFE. For example I would like…
  • Yes, its pretty much the same thing I requested. The detection logic using regex is smart enough to pin-point what interfaces you want to test specific conditions on a particular set of "blocks" but there is no inteligent method of remidating the issues detected on violating blocks.
  • Im having a similar problem. Our Adtran routers only support IP Flow/NetFlow v9 so I installed the trial, but cannot do anything with it now.
  • To reduce the load caused by IPSLA we are distributing the operations over that 300 second window so only a few operations are running about every 10 seconds. Rather than all the operations running at a single time. By using the group scheduler command to start the IP SLA operations it drasticaly reduces the load on the…
  • Great. That query fixed everything right up. Even the problems I was having with the web interface not displaying any data. Thanks.
  • Thanks for that idea. I was making an update template to update the Rommon on the ISR4300/4200 routers and those use a .pkg extension for Rommon and CLPD updates.
  • I was having similar issues that turned out to be a pre-configured alert with an action to email an invalid e-mail address. This was causing the Information Service to hang and producing the same type of errors when viewing the SolarWinds webpage I could see other resources like NPM, NTA, APM but not NCM resources. Try to…
  • Can you check your syslog messages and make sure you see the message from your ASA that the config was changed?
  • I tried to manually edit the location field in the database, but it did not seem to stick. It would just revert back to 'null' after a few seconds.
