Couldn't agree more how hard can it be to move the enumeration of machine types to a database table (probably harder than it sounds). But come on dev if you do this we can stop hassling you to add stuff and do it ourselves until you add it to the core product with a new release. Jon

Thanks got your email will give it a try when I get back to works next week. Already posted another feature request which I guess would now need to be a 2.1 feature http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/1381 JonnyG

Hi Guys, While i generally like the recent upgrade i'm finding it increasingly difficult to just browse content on the site. The last upgrade made it hard to see the general flow of content on the site but if you kept up the "more" option helped. In the new design unless i'm missing something it's now impossible to just…

Hi Rob, We have had 10.7 RC1 installed for about a week and a half now and i have just a couple of comments/issues * We don't appear to be getting dynamic thresholds calculated for interfaces it is working fine for nodes * Are there plans to have higher and lower thresholds as we have cases where low traffic number are as…

Some great feature I've signed up for the beta and awaiting my access. JonnyG

Good to hear would it be possible to have more "more" links on these list otherwise you are still artificially restricting the list
-
Just saw 10.2.1 go up on our license page lets hope it resolves the issue
-
HI Michal, Any response from Cisco yet on this issue? Jon
-
Yup bit of digging and although the PaloAlto supports some MIB's it doesn't support the ipNetToPhysicalTable which i think is needed to UDT for work correctly. I have however been able to get that the ARP information with the PaloAlto web API just now don't know hoe to add it to UDT without some heavy database reverse…

Hi All, Just to confirm we have been able to get every thing configured behind a Cisco ACE appliance. The one caveat is that as the inbound protocols are all UDP Syslog UDP 514 SNMP Traps UDP 162 and Netflow UDP 2055. We had to be a little creative and ended up getting one of our devs to produce a webpage that allowed the…

Just to add my backing I hope this makes the cut it would be nice to see the api moving along at the same pace as the UI JonnyG

Thanks for the prompt response wonder how long this kind of issue takes to get fixed in core. Time to figure out how to convert https://github.com/solarwinds/orionsdk-python/blob/master/samples/discover_one_node.py to powershell and then find out what i do with it once it's discovered unless you have some examples of that.

qbarry We are a couple of weeks of testing polling engines behind a content switch we don't believe this is supported but are going to give it a try for exactly the same reasons you state above. One we are done I will post back with our results. JonnyG

all i can say is i know the fix is in 4.0.3 as it resolved the issue for us FYI restarting the storage service provides a temporary fix until it stops working again
-
+1 here to I already have a way to get the info from our PaloAlto firewalls just no way to give that to UDT
-
count me in as well typically our subnets use ASA's a there gatway

hmm guess I might be doing something wrong then or no one tested snmpv3 https://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/342901

Second the 5585 issue we are seeing the same issue here

Thanks Jiri feature request posted JonnyG

Anybody even just a nope this is not doable and I can stop trying to figure it out
-
Hi Ondrej, I think you have managed to understand our use case. Thanks for the prompt response it would be nice to be able to amend some kind of default layout and have user who have done no customization use that. JonG

so some more information on this issue after some testing if I omit any of these column from the property bag then you get the following error Error : In property SNMPV3AuthKey. Reason : SNMPV3AuthKey is not provided in the input. It is Mandatory. So it looks like we might have a breaking change in the NPM 12 version that…

Another +1 from me and while we are at it how about making the boolean display as a checkbox rather than a text box in the webui
-
Hi Jeff, Are you making any progress with this as I unsurprisingly have the same issue to solve Jon

Hi Michal, I've just been doing some testing and it looks like RC2 at least is reporting the OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1421 as a "Cisco ASA 5515" rather than a "Cisco ASA 5515-X" and 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1409 is not being reported as a "Cisco ASA 5545-X" at all. It looks like RC2 is reporting all our other "X" devices correctly Jon

Hi Mike, This is a setting you can change search this page for event retention http://<servername>/Orion/Admin/PollingSettings.aspx. I believe that the database maintenance task that runs each night removes old events based on this setting. Jon
-
I'm sure this must have come up before but could this mapping not be moved to and table in the Orion database so we can manually add mappings while we wait for a core product update Jon

sad puppy her just upgraded to 10.5 here and it looks like the Cisco ASA X series devices are missing at present i know the following are missing 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1408 Cisco ASA 5525-X Adaptive Security Appliance and 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1414 Cisco ASA 5555-X Adaptive Security Appliance

Hi Any chance that the F5 monitoring will include monitoring servers in the pools because as it stands the UI can be all green showing all it well with world but when you go and check on the device itself you can have pool members down. JonG

If you are running version 4 you might want to make sure you are upto the latest release 4.0.3 as this looks similar to the behavior we saw prior to the upgrade
