Hi Chris. Tnx, i´ll give it a try. I guess you allready put this on the list of enhancements for the product ? (meaning: implementing a feature that can get more than 1 running and 1 startup config pr product) If so, please remember the other downloads we have been requesting, like route-table, arp etc.

I used this: Insert into [NetPerfMon].[dbo].[WebUserSettings] ( AccountID, SettingName, SettingValue) values ('DOMAIN\GROUP','BcNodeCustomization','City') And also this: (for node management sorting) Insert into [NetPerfMon].[dbo].[WebUserSettings] ( AccountID, SettingName, SettingValue) values…

Hi Did you get this to work ? I now also need to download configs from ACE and multiple FWSM installations with "many" context´s Chris - Could you please upload a working template to the sharing zone, with instructions ?
-
And still working after logging out / in, and on multiple websites :) Now... The "home list" - must be a similar fix for this... somewhere
-
found it... :) Logged in as admin, typed the user / pass for webviewer, found that entry in the DB, and copied it. Now working - tnx for your support !

Hi FYI, Cisco released an expected fix date for this bug; It is scheduled for the 31/03/2011.
-
Hi Chris This makes a lot of sence. Especially if we would be able to specify each "customized" type our selves. Note - The config change reporter does not know how to match each downloaded route table, as all has different values. I.e. if you use dynamic routing, the route entry often changes. D EX 10.46.33.0/24…

this might just be working... at least it´s giving me: The Orion server cannot access the SolarWinds Information Service. The exact error was 'Invalid length for a Base-64 char array.' I guess the word Obfuscated means that i should find the encrypted password somewhere - where ?

Hi Finally we managed to debug the error, and reproduce enough documentation to satisfy TAC. The error is caused by LSR (loose source routing) beeing enabled by default, once path probes are defined. The reason for different destination addresses in UDP packet from the router is that the LSR (loose source routing) ip…

Hi Robert My IP SLA router is not vrf avare. It might be a router deep in a topology "somewhere" and the traffic simply traverses a MPLS network, to reach the destination. It might even traverse 2 MPLS´s (Global MPLS for the uplink, Local MPLS within a country)

Hi I must say i completely agree. The functionality is moving to the web, which is fine, however some functions is simply not fast or "agile" enough yet. Many of the features now removed from the system manager is higly missed - PLEASE don´t do the same for Cust Prop. A minimum requirement must be an API where we - the…

I **guess** thats why support was refering to setting the webviewer user and pass on the group - somewhere. As when you are logging in, you get theese settings inherrited. I just can´t find that value in my table.... but then again, i work cisco´s not SQL :)
-
Yup - The only "bug" i´ve found, is when you use NCM to script config items to your devices, and use the policy reporter to comply with given policys. Gives me some "false posetives" Kind of annoying that i cant add that IP route (and other) download command to the allready excisting node.... - But i guess that can be…

Hi Mav If i´m understanding this right, this means that in my environment, one NPM, and 2 addditional pollers, I install UDT on all, and the node assigned to the individual poller, is getting the UDT polling handled by the same poller (server) as handling the NPM polling ? Only remaining question: On my primary server, i…

Hi You are right. I ofcourse compared to my own topology, where i have one wan and one ´LAN link. In that case, the lan link is the most intresting as it shows "user experience" performance monitoring :)
-
Yes, The config tab is in my normal website, and i believe that during install, i was prompted for standalone or intergrated mode. (selected intergrated) The NCM is on a seperate server, in a seperate DB, however using the same db server as NPM I can also perform NCM operations from my normal NPM website.

Hi all It appears that the implementation of IP SLA is “slightly” different in routers and switches. Not related to the router platform (that I assumed it was) – but to the fact it´s a router…! What we have discovered so far, after sniffing our traffic: When the switch executes the EchoPath, it does so as described in the…

For me, it´s every time i log out and then in... WEven think (yet not proved that) that when i reach a new webserver (i have 2 web sites balanced by Ciscco ACE) it´s also resetting. When i access one webserver directly, it´s so far only when logging out / in.
-
Hi I Have a similar issue, when accessing the loadbalanced (ACE) site. I get this: Your browser is rejecting cookies from this website. You will not be able to log in until you fix this. However, i´m not blocking cookies from the website... When accessing the servers directly (mail poller, or the 2 additional webservers)…

Hi Yann Had some time to test :) Its working fine - Tested on the folowing devices 7600, 6500, 3560E, and a 4500. The only disadvantage is that i need to create the node twice... Could be a request for further development for NCM :) Tnx for your assistance !
-
Hi I´ll try to investigate this. - Tnx. but... In my setup, a C3750 switch is directly connected to the routers LAN. When configuring the PathEcho on the switch, the probe works fine, and solarwinds obviously also to collect the statistics fine. This (in my oppinon) does not support the idea, of ICMP unreachables beeing…

Hi I also run the nightly maintinance, but still my DB builds up to 75-100 GB within a few weeks. Of course truncating the data helps on that problem - But then obviously we loose the posebility to follow traffic streams. (for a few days) Wonder why Solarwinds is not updated (in one of the numorous servicepacks) to…

Hi On a pix501 you also need to configure the "snmp-server host inside your-server-ip poll" network_guru - I also have to 2´nd that "Why" - I realy dont see the point in monitoring the loopbacks, and not the LAN interface IP. I mean, the monitoring should also reveal user-experience, and if you cant poll the LAN interface…
-
Hi It is intergrated, but i don´t see any cirrus.* resources in SWQL studio ?!
-
Hey I noticed that my NCM intergration, the "home drop-down list", the manage node grouping (when entering "manage nodes") is not remembering my settings anymore, after implementing AD authentication using groups. Am i the only one, or ...?? Especially the NCM intergration is killing me....
-
Hi I fully agree with Justinh about the system manager. The web console is slow, and it just not feels right when managing a node - One is the renaming of interface / nodes (yes.. Know you can do that in the webconsole), another is the poll this node (yes.. know i can get that in the web interface also) and stuff like…

Hi Yann I did not yet manage to test your previous post, but will do so later this week. However the allready build-in feature of downloading the routing table is not enough. I want to be able to download and store routing tables, to be able to compare with old routing tables from that device. brgds Jesper

Hi Andy and Mav That makes sense. What kind of data ? - Something we can live without ? - If i have to ? My point is, that ISP´s typically do not like the fact that customers should have CLI access to their routers, to get simple IP SLA information. If the info you mention is "optionable" i could still get my IP SLA path…

Hi One thing NOT in the release notes, are the change of node tree view. For some reason you changed the node tree view to show the lowest status of one single node in that container. Meaning that if you group your nodes in three levels, and one node is either unmanaged, warning or down, the entire top container is having…
