Is there a way to globally re-enable this feature after it is removed.? We are in the process of co-ordinating the removal. contacating the DBA group for back-up and restore support and others who may be impacted.. lets just say .. this will cost the company time and money because we have to allocate resouces accross…

I just upgrade to APM 4.0.2 and now we are getting the "UNKnowns" when they weren't there before.. any help for a newbie.. ?? To make matters worse.. I am also new to the techie stuff as well... is there any hope for me?

I opened a ticket and the short of the long is Resolution: Orion cannot read the data on a Denied page created by Barracuda, because Barracuda uses Java Script to create it's Denied pages.. We will have to find a work around..

I was told that When we start a service using "execute a program" trigger action in our alerts it acutally does a restart.. so it would stop the service if it were running and then restart it.. am i mistaken?

lets open another thack.. we can get this done cleaner there.. basically your trigger condition and the trigger action can be cleaned up just a bit to allow for this..

Everythign was working as designed.. the virtual clustered servers under the Virtrual resource were being montored perfectly just like a regular physical server.. the service however was moved by a Server ADMIN and he never bothered to tell anybody thus it showed down on the monitor but up for…

I have tried this 100 ways from friday.. I have a site we blocked. (photobucket) and a site that is allowed (HP.com).. The two sites produce the exact same results.. When I access the blocked site via IE. We get the denied screen.. Barracuda denies it. But the APM monitor see no difference between sites.. GRRR frustating…

I opened a ticket on this and finally they tell me that because this Page is cerated with java script we cannot use this.. RESOLUTION: Another bug "feature Limitation" to Orion .. We cannot get page information off any page created by Java Script..

Nope; our Orion box is seperate from any web function... not white listed, and neither is the secondary poller or the sql box

If i delete this wont the rest of the company have to log-in each time they want to use Orion.. and not be automatically logged in?

Thank you.. I hate to ask but is this new .. having to put restart, start, stop as a parameter ? And this begs the question... without putting the APMServiceControl ${{ComponentId}} -c=RESTART what would happen if you didn't put in the restart.. parameter. ? is there a default? thanks again

OUR goal.. We are using Barracuda as a Web Gateway; I know we have a particular site filtered.. ie.. naughty cant to there site.. I am trying to create a monitor that will show that we get access denied to 'prove' that it is monitored and not allowed. I have basically the same monitor "WEB Link" " Generic Web ..." Port 80…

It gets worse.. when i tried adding journaling on the accounts table the users could not login, and we could not add accounts.. is there something tied to the tables that would stop us form adding Journaling to track updates, deletions, etc..

When i set the search string it made no difference.. Initially i should only get a red 'not available' not a green 'found' ... we are using barracuda to do our filter ... I want to find a way to make sure that the pages are blocked... via APM?

Can I do a subset to test what I will get.. say i know i have xyzm, abc servers that have this going on.. can I just discover those.. or range of IP's ? I would hate to do a total discovery and have to roll back the database becuse it is giving weird results..

as far as browser: 1. Tried the web cache refresh.. NO GO. 2. This is the same browser we have been using .. (across the company.) it worked one day.. (we upgraded to the latest versions of software) and now I cannot logoff.. I do not want to tell the whole corporation to change the web browser from IE. to somethign else…

Audit tracking would be great.. somthing to track who deleted, added, updated nodes, accounts, and APMs would be a good start..
