please try the following: open a mmc on the Orion Server with the user you want to use to monitor the services, add snap-in , add computer management, do not use the local machine but try connecting to the failing server with that snapin (you need to specify \\servername) if that works we need to check otherwise, if that…

Is the node already added into the "nodes table" and is it only giving the error when you add the SAM Template, or do you already face the issue when adding the node itself.
-
What is your polling method? - Agent - WMI - SNMP When you use the Agent, I assume it does not get enough system ressources to provide monitoring capabilities so it goes to unknown. just a wild guess here...

I have created a feature request as I am facing the same challenge with one of my clients. feel free to vote. Thanks

Don't go for the percentage, look at the polling completion. If this is 99-100 you're good. depending on your use case and polling intervals the number of maximum elements can vary a lot. I have seen Orion instances with 3000 elements being hammered down by extreme low polling intervals and a lot of alerts configured. On…

Did you check the NCM Compliance Reporting Feature. It „should“ do exactly what you want to do if I interpret your question correctly. The Feature looks for strings/RexEx in the Config and Reports if they are in it or not. You could use this to get all your routers that have this in the Config.

On what NCM version are you on?
-
bharris would you mind if we continue the discussion here in this thread? I will put your Question here as a reference: Deadlock Error in Logs
-
This message seems to be generated from the Orion database (MSSQL Server) did you recently do any upgrades/updates on the system? Orion Updates / SQL Migration / SQL Patching / ... as bharris mentioned he also sees the error, maybe you guys can share what you have done before the error came up. Pinging jpetkevich to see…

I am not sure if I interpreted your question correctly, but this might help to find your UnDPs in the alerts. Maybe include a bit more details what you are trying to accomplish. e.g. examples of your UnDPs or what you already tried as alerting

it seems there is nothing to do on the disconnect, so we skipped the "set console page 0" and gathered the config by hitting "more"
-
like dodo123 mentioned, ususally Maps don't have permissions on them. The DirectLink account is not a "default" account, you have to manually/intentionally set up this user. Maybe you intentionally/accidentally set up Permissions on the views where the Maps are located.

It depends for what position you are applying for. For a Solarwinds specific role I would see this as an advantage. For a general monitoring engineer position there should be some additional info on the SCP certification. cheers
-
as long as this information is somewhere stored in the Event that Solarwinds is analyzing, you should be able to pull that information. Other than that, Solarwinds is just analyzing your Events. LEM would be the better Product to use here I guess. EDIT: Sorry my mistake, the Locked Out Status is pulled via Powershell. I am…

Same issue here, we sort by custom property in one resource. When opening the 3rd hierachy group we get the Error: "Server error: Specified cast is not valid" . We also see this happening at random. Some groups work some don't

Have a look here Adding nodes using sdk orion-python cheers

When thinking about it I did have another Idea what did you enter as execution mode, Local Host or Remote host. I believe in your case this needs to be "local host" Cheers, Holger

Just let the monitor run against your OrionCore Server... that's what I do. When you take a closer look in the script details, you see that it is importing a session from O365 Function Connect-ExchangeOnline { $global:office365 = New-PSSession -ConfigurationName Microsoft.Exchange -ConnectionUri…

Hi bambarit, I believe what you are trying will not work. the database schema has been changed many times from 10.3 to 12.2. so importing the database as a whole won't work. you could update your 10.3 system to the latest version that is supported on both platforms, install that version on your new server and then update…

I am afraid that the pfsense boxes don't offer the way NCM works to back up a config directly so you need to tweak a bit. to my knowledge pfsense stores the backup as an xml file in /cf/conf/backup. You would need to find a way to present this xml file as a text output to NCM. e.g. cat this to the console. The way NCM is…

Hi, i believe a DHCP on a Fortinet is Not supported. The supported DHCPs are - windows - Cisco - BIND - infoblox and another one I can’t recall at the moment. cheers, holger

you can distribute the load on so called "additional polling engines" (APEs) depending on your license, those APEs are either included in your license (NAM/NOM/...) or they come at additional cost. Orion Scalability Engines - Enterprise Network Visibility | SolarWinds

You could go with a SWQL widget and a search field to it. I am not sure at the moment if you can export a excel from there but it "should" be possible. the PDF Export has always been a "screenshot" of the webpage so the PDF export of firefox/chrome is the same as always. If you like your own format, you can use the API in…

Do you need further info on this, did it work out as jrouviere and myself suggested?
-
As the other posters already stated: your output is not in the Format that the SAM Monitor expects it. The concept how to format your output can be found in the link that cmazko provided. if you need further help let the ThwackCommunity know.

I‘ve seen a displaying bug in other parts of the product. There the Reload button, or just hitting „F5“ if you are as lazy as I am, brings back the content. so do you see the Group name in the loggen in username on the top right corner of the Orion Website when you are logged in with a “group enabled account”? after that I…
-
nope, there is nothing as referral, only your own "content" counts
-
not sure if I understand your question correctly but I think you are referring to the License count. SL100 means the number of NPM-Elements you can monitor with this license. When you need unlimited elements this would be SLX.
-
Yes there is: please see the screenshots on the second screenshot you can see the MSI and MST downloadable file. Cheers, Holger
