Hi Tim, sorry for the late Reply. I went ahead and "gave it a shot" and found that everything is working. We were upgrading from NCM 7.2.? I still execute "RemoveNode" this does not give an error. I might go ahead and try to get rid of it and see how it works. Thanks, Holger

using the Agent will help you solve your problem as designerfx stated. You can choose betw server or client initiated communication so you can even let Orion poll the Agent on a single port. However in this scenario I 'd use the client initiated communication

Hey There, It's APM 4.2 on Windows Server 2008 R2 64 Bit. EDIT: Sorry meant 4.0.2
-
Nevermind, we figured it out

Hi all, we discovered that we only need to open the Node in "Manage Nodes" and hit Send and then the node is successfully discovered, However we have more than 10.000 Nodes and we can not do that for all manually. Regards, Holger

KMSigma see, I am spreading your almighty words on building proper Orion Servers. *praised be thy words of eternal orion performance, hubble hubble hooray*

I'll try to get this asap. The script has over 2000 lines but I think I can have it stripped down to the bare minimum. thanks in advance for your always excellent support
-
sorry but to bother support with what I think @eno is having problems with is a bit overkill I think. - shut down the Services on Orion Core and all other polling engines - reset the password for the Database User on SQL (this is a local SQL authenticated User I assume) - Run the Config Wizard on the Core, adjust Database…

Hi, yes wie integrated the Virtual Appliance in the Settings. We are running both, SRM and STM. STM Integration in the VMAN Appliance is done. Currently SRM and STM are running on the Same box. integration between SRM and VMAN should be done automatically, right? BR, Holger

The good old Kiwi Traps/Syslog „Firewall“ Sadly many of my clients fear the additional configuration effort and put the load on OrionCore

To add another thing to the discussion: EOC is used for Reporting over all 3 instances of NCM. I wasn't Aware that the customer is doing this...until I updated EOC during the day as to my knowledge it wasn't used anyway.... I was wrong and received some phonecalls
-
That’s what I implemented at my Client. 3 NCM Instances with EOC , however EOC is currently not in use. We redirect our users via an own landingpage to the right instance.

I think we should differentiate between the SAM AppInsight and DPA. I use the SAM AppInsight for SQL on most of my clients Orion Database Server. Haven’t seen any issues with this.
-
I have another customer with this issue now, we will give the collation change another try. I will keep you posted once we start with the conversion.

Hi TIm, will the NextRediscovery variable also work for other Locals? e.g. on a german Machine? I also want to set the NextRediscovery but once I add this Parameter the Script errors out. I assume this is because the SQL Database requres this in US - Locals format.

We currently have 26 groups active that run smoothly. However if we want to apply account limitation with "group of groups" the web ressource "All Groups" is not working. This might not be related to your issue. We do not have the NPM Module so I can only tell you the following versions: Orion Platform 2013.1.0, NCM 7.2.1…

To specify a bit more. does this also apply to a whole new comparison criteria. I did not alter the existing criterias I added a new one and activated it. Will this also break real time change detection? Thanks for your comment.

Microsoft closed the case saying that EWS is working fine on their side ... they suggested that Solarwinds Devs should get in touch with Microsoft Devs.

You can silence the checks in the Orion Health Page in the web GUI. However when you run active diagnostics from the local Server App, there is no way to ignore those warnings.
-
Raúl is completely right, that's the way to do it.

The SG and XG use different OIDs for CPU/Memory . You need to create a custom Poller for this. There is a video in the Academy and I also think on YouTube how to create a custom Poller for this. You need the OIDs from Sophos/Cyberoam for CPU/RAM
-
Also SAM pulls most of this information, but you don’t want Client-Machines monitored with SAM/Orion, as they will show „down“ in the GUI when your Users shut down their machines. If you want to go down the MSP route you can also have a look at N-Central
-
Your Search for „User“ needs to be in the lower Config block search in order to ignore the other Interfaces. Hope that helps.

Just for the case that you haven’t resolved the issue yourself: - Stop all Solarwinds services - Stop RabbitMQ - set Registry according to this article: https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/TFTP?language=en_US - Check for remaining Solarwinds and Java processes : Get-Process | where-object {$_.ProcessName…
