unfortunately just the reports. as it is a NCM only Installation the EOC doesn't bring too much value in Terms of visibility and usability over all 3 lines deeper Details later in our Webex. hear you in a few

Hi Tim, when I add that Line to my script I get the following Error: New-SwisObject : Inverse transforms not implemented. At C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\Node_Export_Import_1.ps1:271 char:34 + $newUri = New-SwisObject <<<< $target –EntityType "Orion.Nodes" –Properties $newNodeProps + CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: (:)…

Double Checked, Integration with Orion-Core is done...
-
Understood, unfortunately we have storage systems that are only supported by the STM so we will not see those in AppStack. thanks for clearing that up.
-
Of course you are right, I mixed the names. thanks for pointing that out. Other readers might get confused. I will double check, but I am almost certain we did the integration into NPM/Orion. other than that no more actions need to be done, right? thanks, holger

How come you know my clients so well ?
-
Hi, ich vermute dass es am „Home“ liegen könnte. Ich versuche das mal nachzustellen. Sorry, dass ich nicht früher geantwortet habe, irgendwie kam keine Meldung, dass es hier im Thread was neues gibt.
-
I received your answer by email notification. At first glance it seems that you are doing it correctly. I am mostly working with PowerShell scripts to do API related automation, so I need to get my knowledge a bit up to speed. For the time being, I am pinging the REST API Master @"mrxinu" if he has an Idea.

Really strange. So I guess you’ve also seen this thread here https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/VNQM-Discussions/SIP-Trunks-Status-Not-Polled-Yet/td-p/408726 One poster mentioned HTTP1.0 vs 1.1

I am working with a client tomorrow who has vnqm with cucm enabled. I remember it was some work but we eventually got it running. will ask him if I can screenshot some configs
-
It looks like an issue with the silent XML, haven’t done that in the past as I do many „tweaks“ before so I want to „see“ if this actually works. I come to this conclusion because the Services, that are installed seem to be too few. I have to check in my NCM only installation later

this is something your network device vendor should be able to tell you. When the device sends flows, SolarWinds should be able to interpret them.
-
they are sorted pretty much in a logical way. I'd suggest you install the SDK and take SWQL Studio to browse your tables. GitHub - solarwinds/OrionSDK: SDK for the SolarWinds Orion platform, including tools, documentation, and samples in Powe… Intro to SWQL Studio I think this might help to get a feeling for the naming of…

The flow will be sent to the collector but it won’t be stored in the DB. You will get a message that a Flow From an unknown source has been discarded and you should add the node and interface to the orion platform. hope that helps

Ich hab leider immer noch kein Win10 Home verfügbar. Wie gesagt unter allen Win10 Pro Installationen läuft es bei mir problemlos.
-
Nice! In most of my scenarios the SWADM-Service stayed down, but could be started manually without any issues. Glad it worked out for you. Cheers. -Holger

This is for the NPM/SAM Volume Alerts, it should be translateable to SRM somehow. I don't have many SRM Clients currently.... use an alert and alert on a Volume, the upper menu should populate automatically with the volume selection. In the lower selection something like this: JOIN Orion.VolumesCustomProperties vcp ON…

Do you have your ESXi Hosts and VMs managed as Nodes? In order to place something on the Network Atlas it needs to be managed at a Node/Interface/Volume ... in Orion
-
@"langj" A config is usually tied to a node in the NCM Database. So as long as you don’t have nodes in NCM, importing configs doesn’t work like NCM is designed. Tip: open a new thread for a new topic. This thread has a solution and probably not many users are looking for new questions on a solved thread

From my understanding you also need port 135 and 445 on the Agent Machine Open to Update (Windows) . I am not sure about Linux, but I guess you need SSH (22) open on Linux Boxes.
-
I think this was meant as an example. Do you refer by „managed or not“ to a device that is unmanaged or muted in the Orion system? There is a field in SWQL for unmanaged or muted.
-
My rule of thumb: use the canned alerts only as a reference and guidance. Don’t actually use them without reviewing. When I do an implementation I switch off almost all the built in alerts.
-
The modified Date can change when something in the background changes or someone saves a draft or accidentally saves the page without any changes made to the post.-> this was legacy JIVE thwack platform. We will see how it works with the Khoros Platform now.

Now I got it ;) you don’t need to worry about that. You don’t need to use Chocolatey for installing the SDK. Just use the MSI here https://github.com/solarwinds/OrionSDK/releases/download/v2.5.0.214/OrionSDK.msi Chocolatey is a Package manager for Windows and it can help to keep your Software up to date, however just…

Alright, even though I think this won't lead to a solution, here's the way how to create a new device template: In the wizard, pick your device and follow the wizard. You need to have the commands ready that you would enter in a SSH session to get the Config. Hope that helps.

The banner is NOT showing with these mentioned customers. Can you post a screenshot of your license manager (obfuscate the IDs) I think the trial seems to be assigned

Check the DBO.Engines and DBO.OrionServers table in your Database if there are any old/false records from your rebuilds. The agent also stores the connection Info in the registry. Maybe clean that after an uninstall and reinstall with a „fresh“ registry. Building a new APE is then the next option when all agent…
-
I think you just need to restart the Orion services in the case of an IP Change. It should reflect in the DBO.Engines and DBO.Website table of your OrionDB. I haven’t tested this...so I could be wrong and you need to run the config wizard.
-
The „fix template“ message is quite generic, I personally think there is another issue

Could you enable session tracing, retry the download and look into the session log, maybe you find some useful info for troubleshooting there. -> https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Change-NCM-session-trace-location
