Hi, not knowing this fact, I've already opened support ticket #32330. Should I send an e-mail anyway?

Thanks, Mark. I didn't find the thread, because I was searching for "uninstall", not "remove". O:-) The last post was helpful. I was thinking of manually deleting the web site files and corresponding database tables/recordes myself, but felt a little intimidated.

We have seen a number of issues where this process doesn't seem to work correctly if the change is due to a device model change. Thanks for sharing your experience. Could you please describe the procedure in NPM when replacing a managed device with different model? I assume your keep the managed IP and the collected…

event, and continues as normal; mostly. We have seen a number of issues where this process doesn't seem to work correctly if the change is due to a device model change. At times, when we change a device to a different model, we have seen Orion have some difficulties with recognizing the interfaces, even though the names…

Same issue here, but just for one node. For other nodes Orion is quite capable of showing response times below 1 ms instead of flat zero. I tried SNMP for status and response time polling although not recommended. It returned more sensible results.

ACS v.4.01 in the near future. Best regards. Tomaz

Same experience here. Adding nodes, adding labels and editing them. Mapmaker (Orion 8.1.3) crashes (exits) randomly without any message whatsoever. I even don't have information to report a bug.

1. EIGRP, BGP (VRF aware). 2. Current neighbor and route statuses (if possible, correlated with node names from NPM database). 3. Table. 4. Alerts on neighbor status change (configurable per neighbor). 5. Cisco (ISR, ISR2, 7600, ASR)

I would like to see event filtering, too. The resource is unfortunately not asp.net.

Maybe someone from Solarwinds could shed some light on it, e. g. 1. The option search by machine type was left out after NPM v10.1.3 by mistake or 2. It was discontinued by design or 3. It was never there and my mind is playing tricks on me. :-)

Is this available as a recorded session?

I monitor Cisco ONS 15454SDH devices successfully with Orion NPM (including temperatures and voltages). Maybe something is missing in your SNMP configuration on these devices, considering NPM it is standard SNMPv2c configuration for the monitored node. Machine type discovered by NPM is ONS 15454SDH.

I monitor external web site with the APM component HTTP monitor. That provides me with response times for HTTP requests to the server. I monitor public server that accepts anonymous connections, therefore APM credentials are set to <NONE>. The web site is defined as external node in NPM and I also had to configure proxy.

Hi, A) Just configure only read only SNMP community strings on your devices. B) SNMP process has typically low priority, therefore it should not impair main functionality. Just don't poll too often and you are safe. In my experience (my environment) less than 1 % of network traffic is generated by SNMP (with NPM on default…

After the upgrade I noticed a flood of emails. So I looked into it and it looks like the action "Stop Processing Trap Rules" is broken in TrapViewer 9.1.5. Is anyone else having this problem? I am experiencing the same unexpected behavior with the action "Stop Processing Syslog Rules" in Orion Syslog Viewer 9.1.3. I tried…

I've just uploaded SNMP Walk and session trace log files of our Nexus 5672 with a couple of FEXes. Looking forward to better support of Cisco Nexus devices in Solarwinds products.

If you still need this, send me a PM with your email. It is about 1,3MB PDF.

I'm not sure, if this is the similar problem, but for us (I live in Europe) Orion 8.1 also displays incorrect date/time format through the web. Both, the Orion server and a workstation are set to DD.MM.YYYY date format and 24h time format. Web browser displays dates in MM/DD/YYYY and time in 12-hour format. For us this is…

Seems that Orion doesn't like the clock being adjusted. All my graphs had a zillion percent peak at 03:00 Sunday morning. Any fix for this? Guess the polling engine gets one hour of data in one polling due to the daylight saving adjustment. I'm at winter time, too and cannot confirm this. No unusual peaks in my graphs.…

Actually you assign Application Templates to the nodes. Go to SAM Settings - Manage Templates next select the template(s) and then click Assign to Node.

Any plans on supporting Cisco Wireless Controllers DHCP?

When previewing a customized view first node from the database is always taken to generate preview. This node has probably nothing to do with HP hw monitoring. Try to edit URL by entering correct number after N:. You have to find correct number for HP server first. Try opening the node details page for the server and check…

I second the request. Maybe it'll get higher priority. ;-)

What about the integration with Cisco NBARv2?

It is kinda working for me, although I'm not comfortable to wide deploy it to my production environment, yet. I have some issues, but support is quite helpful. Why would you need regular scheduled config backups with working RTD?

I'm fairly new to SNMP. None of our servers are configured to send SNMP traps. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to configure this on our servers and what type of events that occur will cause an SNMP trap to be sent? I was also curious how everyone else monitors and configures their alerts for SNMP traps? You…

Which alert action in Syslog Viewer do you choose that the alert appears in the NPM alerts view?
