Hi Tal Lao. Currently it is not possible, NTA doesn't gather CBQoS configuration information about bandwidth rules, but that sounds like a good feature request. If you let me, I would pass it to Chris LaPoint - Orion NetFlow Product Manager to consider it for future versions. thanks

Hi Jaspreet, we've recently tested NPM 10.1.3 with NTA 3.8 on SQL 2008 R2 SP1 and didn’t find any issues. I don't have information about NCM 6.1 thoughthanks

Hi lchance, please also take a look to a great demo from our SE to quickly overview how to track down your problems using NTA. http://www.solarwinds.com/register/index.aspx?Program=933&c=70150000000EvzX

Hi nerditup, I guess it's caused by the fact that ASA produces bi-directional flows. Here the good post about it http://www.plixer.com/blog/asa/everything-you-didnt-want-to-know-about-bidirectional-and-unidirectional-netflow/ thanks

Hi GonzoUK, seems that you already tried to install NetFlow eval on that database before. I saw such an error when upgrading from NetFlow version 2.2.1 If yes, you need to remove old installation from your DB. Please open a support ticket, putting NetFlow Eval in the Solarwinds Application field. That will get an engineer…

xbod, can you see Nortel Interfaces in Orion's "Top 10 Interfaces by Traffic" resource (e.g. on Top 10 view)? The problem could be for example with automatic detection of interface speed through SNMP. Can you query you Interfaces table and investigate value of InPercentUtil and OutPercentUtil fields for Nortel Interfaces…

Hi tbackus, for this purpose you can add Notes when Acknowledging specific alerts (e.g. Node is Down) from the web interface. Then you'll be able to see and export these Notes in Alert Manager GUI application (File -> Settings ->Alert View Columns) thanks

Donald, I'm not aware of any. It's fully supported platform for us and QA tests it deeply. thanks

ET is absolutely right. Just to clarify a little bit: - You do not need to configure NetFlow on a router to consume CBQoS data - You should manually monitor interface in NTA - Last NetFlow Received time in sources tree is not updated by CBQoS data, so there will be value ‘never’ thanks,

Hi lchance, do you want to distinguish this fields in a report header? If yes, please follow this steps: 1. Add fields for ingress and engress interface captions 2. Execute report and retrieve actual data 3. Go to Field formatting tab and edit Column header for both captions 4. Save report if not and you want to change…

daryyld, this sounds like known bug of NTA. It happens when database/log files do not have extensions. Solution could be to detach DB files, rename and attach again. As this is quite complicate operation, I would strongly recommend you to open support ticket http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/ thanks

Hi aaron_daniels, unfortunately we don't have any prepared stuff, but I'd like to better understand your use case. If your main goal is to import list of Nodes, than you can easily export list of IP addresses from Scrutiniser to CSV file and add them all at once to Orion using Network Sonar Discovery (when creating new…

All, thanks for such an active feedback here. I'm glad to state that we've identified the root cause of the issue and it should be fixed in upcoming NPM Service release. Can't share the exact dates for now though. Sorry once more for inconveniences, folks.

Hi Simone, it's possible to create multiply scheduled discovery profiled with same IP of your device but with different community strings. Then you can import results and will have several devices with same IP but different community strings in a database. For better results, I recommend to upgrade to the latest version of…

Hi HBrandNSB, AFAIK these devices have lots of interfaces, so most probably this is caused by Topology data collection that happens during the rediscovery. You can try to List resources for some device, remove L2 / L3 topology pollers from them and see if situation improves thanks

Hi Patrick, by default NTA listens on a port 2055 and in your case port 2025 is used. You can make NTA listen on a multiply ports, though. To do that, please navigate to NetFlow Settings page and Edit collector settings as shown on a screenshot. thanks

trinitron, this message appears when both Input and Output interface SNMP indexes in a NetFlow pdu exported by router equal to 0. But what I see from the screenshot you should have correct data when drill down to the eth0 interface. One of the options is to run some packet capture tool like WireShark on NTA box and capture…

Hi Donald_Francis, unselect stops recording of traffic to the DB. The data that already been collected is not removing from DB immediately, but when it reach "Keep compressed data" option threshold
