Yes, I did notice, but just though I might as well answer here

bubowski, as per our rules, only your first attempt at answering a question counts. Otherwise, everyone will end up answering questions correctly.

TRUFFLE SHUFFLE!

rob911, are you sure you are bookmarking the right document? It should be under Featured Content in the Announcement space: What We Are Working On

May-be you will...

Hey! Got my shirt and I am wearing it proudly. I trimmed the collar because the mens fit shirts are too close around my neck. (Hint Hint )

Since some of you weren't able to submit the answers for some questions, I'm going to leave them open a few more hours, until 8 AM CT, and after that stay tuned because we're going to announce the winner for the 4th week and the grand prize winner!

I'm lucky, but not that darn lucky. Lol

I'm in the same position, the lack of additional polling support is causing delays during upgrades (download 500M installer to be told it's already installed). Also only the primary poller being able to get DHCP information and do scans means that we can't spread the load of polling systems across our additional pollers as…

I have exactly the same problem. I will look at using this fix. Thank you for the post

ahpdwebmaster, it's possible to win in every round, as long as you guess the free tools that move to the next round. So, you can basically win 4 times.

Same issue with me - selected WPM as part of the answer, since it was shown as included in the hint link.....first red X of the month.....

Hey guys, We'll announce the winners for week one later today. Stay tuned!

Perfectly said, and the exact reason my organization needs it too. I created a tech group for "new access" and just put every tech in it, but the ticket ends up having to be passed around to everyone involved, and if someone is busy it sits in their queue. It would be very beneficial for certain tech groups or request…

I was looking to see if activities could be triggered externally as well. I was thinking that our monitoring server could kick off a predefined activity to collect some network data when connectivity issues occur.
-
It would also be very useful to be able to display clients & servers status within the group membership on the Patch Manager Summary Page under the Most Vulnerable Machines. As patches are released to each group, the status of clients with the group can be checked easily.

This is a controversial question for a Friday.
-
This would be absolutely AMAZING. We have several different groups accessing our installation, and it's kludgey having to create and assign a custom view for them so they don't break the main view trying to customize what they want to see.
-
I got stung here too. I would agree this question is misleading as i've found out many things using solarwinds that I didn't previously know about...
-
had this in goverlan -> very very nice feature to have
-
j_cabanillas, it is. No worries. You will get credit regardless of your answer.
-
Hey guys, Both week 3 and final phrase are now open for submissions! Good luck and in case you have any issues, feel free to send me a message. Happy Friday!
-
Thanks to everyone who completed this survey! Points have been awarded.

Hey jeremymayfield, Yes, you did complete it. If you go to your profile, to the Reputation tab, you'll see in the Missions sections that this particular mission appears as complete.

Earthquakes. I'm both curious and not interested in finding out the technological ramifications and how they ripple... no pun intended. (Okay, pun intended.) Security breaches, that something could be going on for months and you wouldn't even know it, especially if it involves a human on your end. "What, I thought those…

UPDATE: I'm going to change the URL of today's question so those of you who have issues give it another try in 5 minutes or so.

Is it Christmas yet.

What's funny is I can't ever hear the word "Omni" without seeing that in my head. Who needs a "guide book"?
-
My company needs this too! As compliance regulations become more strict and older technology (ie SNMP v1 and v2) cause some great security risks in our environment. Server 2008 does not allow for snmp v3 and third party tools do not always work. Since WMI is a secured from of polling the servers it should gather the…

I think we do a pretty good job of implementing security, but sometimes exceptions become the norm. I personally fight against one-offs vigorously, but sometimes the business decision makers decide to take a risk to get their new shiny widget installed and running.
