This is a biggie for me as we are looking at other software already that does this. It also adds in the ability to run an exe from a users desktop and simulate call traffic to another node on the network. That way we can see call quality from the user end to another user / phone end.

m60freeman, they are already there. Here's the schedule January 20, 2016 - Columbus, Ohio SWUG.

I agree with, Action Rules work really well for this. It takes a little time to setup, but if the logic is sound, Action Rules can do all kinds of cool things based on specific text in the client email. You can set Request Type, auto-assign to a technician, change the status, or you can modify the ticket with any of your…

I know I completed all 20 questions but I want to make sure the server knows that lol. Is there any way to verify. BTW, LOVE THIS MISSION!!!! It was great fun and informative! I too cannot wait for my t-shirt!

Today's question does make you carefully read the hint. But I wouldn't say it's misleading.

Hey everyone, I'm checking on this. I need to straighten out which versions of BSM require Snare and which don't. Regarding "Open for Voting" - it's a manual process. I'll move it now.
-
I'll send you a DM.

I doubt that. Networking is not like systems when you can just throw on a gui and all the sudden everyone can do it. Networking equipment is specialized for passing traffic and is built to run certain protocols and the user has to under stand those protocols before attempting to operate either gui or cli. In fact most…

That’s awesome! Thanks very much Danielle and Solarwinds.

same here - took the survey, no opportunity to enter thwack username

Guys, make sure you double check you answer(s) on today's question before you click submit! The question is not broken, but you must choose wisely.

Even though I slammed Atlas down in the 2014 survey it's not because I don't like it, but more because it is impossible to use and I wish it would replace Visio but is worse than MS Paint. I normally use Google Draw because it's always online, easy and I don't always have access to Visio.

One of the reasons we're a little cautious on this one is the concern around doing it securely - i.e. there would need to be some kind of insurance that it's actually going to execute the files you think it's going to execute (checksums? something uploaded to the appliance?). It would be unfortunate for you to make a call…

Update: points were awarded for the January mission accomplished. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

It's a TRAP!

shadow IT is odd though, as more and more companies expect their users to personally supply mobile devices etc

I agree with this thread, there are far too many risks running Flash and something should be done sooner rather than later. Take Tenable Nessus for example, best thing they ever did was move away from flash a few years ago and move to HTML 5 platform and has been very quick and stable to date.

I voted for Wall-E too because I want a flying chair and my milkshake.

I'm not eligible for the grand prize I don't think, but I'm still excited for everyone and this was a splendid mission! We already use the LEM but this mission has been a wealth of information so much of which I needed. I like seeing if I can answer without any assistance lol.

It seems VoIP and video conferencing are major use cases here. For obvious reasons, real time services which are UDP based, any degradation of quality is felt immediately. So as a normal operation process, there should be some SLA to monitor the quality of calls. Best effort data like the normal internet surfing, is TCP…

I think I missed something. I thought I was supposed to receive this shirt and like 2 others but have received nothing. Maybe I'm missing something or just really jacked in the head? lol DanielleH or maria.bungau any ideas or am I really not paying close enough attention?

jvaughan@connectria.com, have no worries. Your thwack ID IS your email in your case. It happens that sometime, people insert emails which are not tied to their thwack accounts, and end up not receiving points because of that, and it's a pity. That's the reason I added that comment in the brackets.
-
silverbacksays, no worries, you'll get another chance once we update the hint.

+1

Quick update: an email went out earlier today to everyone who correctly answered all questions for this mission, in order to collect the size and shipping information. However, keep in mind that, as per our T&C, we can only ship to residents of US and Canada. It was impossible for me to check every single name in the list,…

Nope, I had the bookmark. Just to be sure I removed it and added it again. Not a big deal, just thought it was kind of funny.

I know you're all wondering what's happening with your points and badges for February mission. So, just a small update, once I am back to the Brno office, I will start awarding those and post an update here on thwack once I'm done.
-
From where I stand, you are almost all answering at impressive hours. But then again, I'm based in Czech Republic, so this explains it all.

We have our week 4 winner. The happy owner of a Yeti Cooler Rambler Tumbler is ... itmike. Congrats!

kurtrh, thanks for the heads up. I've updated the hint, and everyone who got the question wrong, can try it again. (Just remember to clear your cache&cookies).
