I forgot to mention that on the MIB Walk report, I do see it return back the data I want.

"I have done almost every mission for the last three years" -> I'm thinking of doing an "attendance" list for these mission, to make sure you are attending all of them from now on . Joking aside, welcome to the MVP club!

I'd recommend opening a Support ticket for this one.

You can do that with scripts in 2.0, but it's built in to APM 2.5 as first-class monitors. Maybe you should sign up for the Beta and take a look.
-
“Method 1” should work just fine.

Once we purchase NTA, and we get into next budget, we'll be putting the DB on a seperate server...I'm thinking we may make both the DB and the App server 64-bit...I'm not sure yet, though.

Reports don't include graphs.

Hi Ken, I've just done this for a company working for the NHS, they have a large Solarwinds environment that monitors their infrastructure and then we have a separate trial licensed set of Solarwinds products running in our test environment that is being used for load testing and monitoring during the load testing. This…

I was at a Solarwinds event in London yesterday and they announced that 10.4 would be officially released today

To add to what's already been said, the purpose of these out of the box rules is to detect common patterns within network traffic, e.g. many SYN packets = SYN scan type stuff. They also provide some insight into how events are normalized, if you look at those plus the authentication default rules which are similar. That…

The built-in IIS Template in APM includes that information retrieved from WMI performance counters.

I'm sorry to hear that the upgrade hasn't gone well. Your case sounds especially challenging. We are not pleased with the number of issues we've seen, and we are engaged in discussions of changes we can make to ensure that future releases provide for smoother upgrades. So I apologize for the troubles you've had. As for…

Great idea! Custom grouping would make dealing with alerts and traps much better. Possibly adding user administration to those groups as well, would be helpful.

Might want to try this...it's free. www.ixiacom.com/.../pa_display.php

We are experiencing the same thing on 3750X and recently opened Case 524804. With the help of SolarWinds Support examining the snmpwalk results, it appears this is an IOS problem We are running IOS 12.2(55)SE3 on the 3750X. We haven't opened a case with Cisco yet. Here is Support's response. Hope this is helpful. Before…

It's broke whether you pick a node or interface.

After upgrading system from 10.3 to 10.5 how shall we do verification???

It seems that perhaps the netflow traffic analyzer is using snmp to pull the overall throughput NTA does not use SNMP to pull data. It's a receiver that listens for NetFlow data sent from the router.
-
I'm slightly confused since there is already a TOP XX protocols chart. Granted no pie chart for it but it shows what I think you want. Also make sure you time out active flows at least every minute at the router. There are some articles that explain how NTA rolls up data. If you use the NTA chart I mentioned and timeout…

should be <directory Orion is installed in>\reports that would be C:\program files\solarwinds\reports for a default install I think.
-
We use a third-party control, not custom code.
-
Yes, if you're using 8.1, it's probably the known bug. Make sure you apply the hotfixes, which can be found here: ftp://ftp.solarwinds.net/Orion/Hotfixes/Orion8.1Hotfixes.zip

ICMP is status, and SNMP = stats. They are executed on independent schedules.
-
There's no workaround at this time. It's something we'll consider for a future release.

Other one good way, you can unite your credentials for same kind devices, and help you manage easier. Steven

I have this same question. Have you found out or is this even possible?

NetScout Infinistream (pricey investment, formerly a Network General product). We have several of these monitoring (capturing) all traffic on our GE backbone, through the firewalls and central site server farms. It's great looking back on performance problems. The tool has helped resolve numerous firewall misconfigurations…
