Check the time difference between your appliance and your agent - take a look at the DetectionTime and InsertionTime columns of all the events in your screenshot. Make sure the appliance's time is accurate and not too far off of both current time and the agent's time.

 That feature is available only in Cisco. Netgear doesn't have that information available in its MIBs.

So... Five years on, and this issue still persists. does ANYONE know how to disable logging of SSH related entries in the Scheduler? Maybe someone can suggest a better SFTP client with a GUI? I do not want to use WinSCP where I need to write a script for every job.

I just wanted to follow up on this i was able to resolve this issue by deleting 90 dynamic IP nodes. Once i deleted them I was able to login without issue.

I am running orion 8.0 on a VM ESX server with Windows 2003 Enterprise. No problems, whether solarwinds will support it is another question but they don't have to know.

Sounds like a speed/duplex problem. Is the server NIC set to auto-neg? I'm not familiar with the NIC but hard set both NIC and switch port to 100/full or 1000/full, whichever is your preference.

this is handled in NPM by adding volumes to your nodes. you should not have to create UnDP for this. then you can use all the views to see comprehensive data based on all the volumes you have added

Agreed, this is a horrible mess. Everything is all over the place, impossible to find any answers. Whoever designed this gets an "F" in User Experience.

This is not a hang. We made some major changes to the database for 8.1 in order to improve maintenance. This stage of the config wizard can take a long time. For databases larger than 10GB, it can take over an hour. Give it a long time to complete. The payoff is that database maintenance will be much improved.

I had a bear of a time getting this to work. It appears that this might have been unique to our site but finally got it working... I had to check 'Enable HTTP Keep-Alives' under Web Site Connections in IIS.

I also wish that the Engineer Toolset features were based in the ORION server versus on the remote machine. Our network security will not let us access our NETWORK devices that ORION is monitoring from the other side of the firewalls. If it fails the first time, try deleting the snmp.conf and snmpd.conf file in etc/snmp/ and rerun avsetup_snmp

Incidently, The APC SmartUPS management software can be configured to send syslog messages. We find the syslog based alerts to have far less overhead.

Maybe i am not seeing the issue here but if you test the alert and it notifys them then couldnt you just run a report looking for the alert and use that?
