The Youtube Solarwinds channel is really good too, loads of useful stuff on there... solarwindsinc - YouTube

Has this not been addressed in 4 years? I have a similar need - I wish to monitor a particular process on a number of servers - this process will have mutliple instances - I wish to graph the number of running instances over time to see if the number of running instances of this process correlates to cpu/memory load, and…

Anyone? :->

I did some playing around and think might have a script that works. If some of the seasoned NCM pros could give it a once over I would really appreciate it. del flash:*.bin ${CRLF} ${CRLF} ${CRLF} copy t172.16.0.90/c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE3.bin flash:c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-55.SE3.bin ${CRLF} ${CRLF} conf t…

DThorne, what are you trying to do? Are you wanting to change the polling interval for multiple nodes/interfaces at once? Or are you trying to group them by the polling interval in the node tree?

This is a pretty common series of issues for hotfixes and upgrades, I'm sorry you guys experienced it. The most foolproof file share is to use a root-of-share with few slashes and spaces kind of deal, just in case. It seems like there's some protocol negotiation voodoo that can get lost when using deep or special character…

I have resolved the issue: In your post you put: Mounting share //172.20.0.65/SolarWinds with user integra\\erinaldo No upgrades found. Notice that No upgrades found is the result. I suggest you configure your share location to the manager folder (\\172.20.0.65\SolarWinds\manager) - that is presuming that you have a folder…

It would require a 3rd-party tool

evanr, I have run through the ReadMe and experienced the same issue when entering the command 'mgrhotfix'. SW, any advice on how to resolve this?
-
No. What are you trying to accomplish?
-
It's not possible in bulk, only manually.
-
There's a workaround for this on 9.0, but it's fixed in the next release. Edit \Inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\MasterPage.master. Find this line: <form runat="server" method="post" action="#" id="aspnetForm"> Remove the action="#" part. That is, change it to this: <form runat="server" method="post" id="aspnetForm"> Save. Next…

Unique maps for individual groups would be a boon. I hope that SolarWinds takes this up as a product enhancement suggestion.

Where are you looking? Reports? Somewhere in the Console? (Will help me give a better answer to add to what's already been said)
-
We'll certainly consider it.
-
Thanks everyone for the reply. Yes, I was trying to schedule Inventory Scan through the NCM GUI at the WEBConsole. For now, it looks like I have to use the server application until release of NCM 7.2 Eleazar

The key question is whether the SNMP data is exposed through that interface. If there's a MIB, you can use the universal device poller to get to it.
-
Similar answer on this one - I found some detail on the logging and some options, so this might overlap with other connectors we've already built, but I know we don't have specific connectors for this at the moment. (As usual, if you have any kind of log sample we can run it against what we've got and see what's up. We do…

Which version? Do you have SPs installed?

well, i am not sure if it is magic, but I have a custom property added to the volumes table. one for warning and one for critical. it is a percentage value. I default them all to 85 and 90. within your volume space alert, you use a complex condition rather than a simple condition. this condition reads volume percent…

Feature request has been made at: Thanks for the replies.

My guess is you'll need to check out your Subscriptions filter and make sure it's pointing to the right user. Open up your subscriptions filter, check and see if the subscriptions (right hand side) is red or pointing to your user, and try re-dragging your user over from the subscriptions area on the left and saving the…

Hi muwale, At the moment, we cannot make any promises about a date when international shipping will be available. However, keep an eye out on the forum, because we will definitely post an announcement here, for everyone to see.

Red means that it's unpingable. CPU, memory, volume are not currently reflected in the status icon. In the next release, we are going to make it easier to see some of the performance data from whereever you are in the web console.
-
Once you know there is an end to end issue you are going to want to know why so I would look at solving the issue from the why angle.

One easy way would be to have an email alert sent to their phone number, which is converted to SMS by the carrier. Example, if I send an email to 1234567890@tmomail.net, I would receive it as an SMS message on my phone. Here's a link for the email addresses of common carriers: www.tech-recipes.com/.../

Thanks for feedback and the workaround David. A "Disable/Enable All Polling" (like "UnManage/Manage") button would be good to have so the work-around is unnecessary. I, myself, would prefer to see checkboxes implemented rather than buttons.

what is the estimated date SAM 6.3 will go general release & can I upgrade directly from SAM 6.2 to SAM 6.3 or do I have to be at SAM 6.2.4 in order to upgrade to SAM 6.3?
-
Have you considered disabling the hardware alerting and / or altering the thresholds in Advanced Alert Manager? I'm not sure entirely what you want the system to do. You could alter the actions on the hardware monitoring alert to only alert if the status is Critical (or whatever threshold you want) You could alter the…

Hi! We don't have a listing of the different reports to get this to you. We are discussing different ways we can look at making custom dashboards as well, nothing official there yet. Sorry I am not more help here. Kathy
