  • Found the answer. There is an easy syslog tester made by Kiwi. Downloads "Kiwi SyslogGen" I was able to send TCP traps to the Syslog Viewer and they worked. I will contact the vendor to find out why our equipment is not sending messages.
  • In NTA 2.2, the NetFlow sources are automatically collapsed in a tree structure by node. Would you want groups above and beyond that?
  • We are aware of this issue, and it will fixed in a service release--8.0.1. We expect 8.0.1 to ship in a couple of weeks. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds
  • I have the same problem running Orion NPM SLX 9.1, it can now take up to "4" hrs to complete the DB maintenance that kicks off at 2:15 AM and the graphical chart data is now totally missing during that time. We also are a 24 x 7 environment so that data is vital. Solarwinds team, what steps are being done to correct or is…
  • The ToS support is coming soon. The other one is an interesting feature request that I haven't heard before. The challenge I see is that there are hundreds of applications, but not hundreds of distinguishable colors. Would you want to reserve certain custom colors for certain applications?
  • Installing the APM 2.5 Additional Component fixes this issue :-P I was under the impression this was packaged in the 9.1 additional web server install; my mistake.
  • I've got this same problem after upgrading from 4.0 to 4.0.3
  • Did you delete the old node? If so, the data is probably gone. If you didn't delete the node, but just swapped the device, it's probably still in the historical data for the existing IP. When you say "retrieve", what do you want to do with it?
  • Additional info now that I have a minute. Both our Patch Manager server and our WSUS servers were migrated from one datacenter to another. This is not a firewall issue however. I've ruled that out. They did change IP's, but not domains or anything like that. From a remote console I get the error message this message "login…
  •  Pero28, You should open a support ticket. That's going to be hard to figure out on Thwack.
  • 9.1 SP5 was released at the beginning of the week. It contains the fix for the issue you're seeing.
  • Thanks gcp and jaminsql for the reply! Yes gcp, I am using the SQL server as the repository. The space is consumed by the database files. The log space looks alright. This is the screenshot of the settings, and yea, the number of days of data history is set as the default values of 30 days. However, since I have set up…
  • Ana, We are having the same issue here. Peter, Please add us to the issues record as well. Thank you, Dave
  • Thanks Jeremy....appreciate your help...
  • Thanks Lada... The provided seems to greek for me I am not an SQL expert....

  • Same answer there, although we will test and fix the modules first. Once the modules are done, we will test the "additional components" against 8.0, make any fixes necessary for compatibility, and re-post them. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds
  • quote:Originally posted by aLTeReGo Any idea if the Application Monitor add-on for Solarwinds will be compatible with v8 when it is released or will we have to wait for a new version? 8.0-compatible modules will be ready in a couple of weeks. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds
  • Hi, we have SEP running on our Orion Server without any issues. The only difference to the desktop installation is, that we turned off network thread detection. Eike
  • Thanks for your input, NG! I'll take your advise and work on adding to existing views. -RGW
  • I'm afraid you'll need to open a feature request for this wluther
  • If you can't see 8.5, you may have an issue with your maintenance. If you're not up to date, you won't have access to newer versions. You can call customer service and solve the maintenance issue (which will, as you might expect, cost money) and then you can upgrade from 8 to 8.5. Just to add incentive, if you have…
  • I'm with you guys. Also, it would be nice to be able to pick what fields are visible in the asset tab, ticket and ticket email after it has been selected, for the same reasons. Seeing a serial or asset # doesn't help me, we just want the network name, IP, etc.
  • Have you contacted Support? We'd like to help, but your error message doesn't indicate any known bug. There are too many unknowns to really diagnose on the Forum. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds
  • It's determined by the order in which the information appears in MIB.
  • I have additional questions if you dont mind. 1. Are you currently a DPA customer? If Yes, which products do you own 2. Would you be interested in participating in a beta program if it includes monitoring MySQL instances? Thanks Kathy
  • Hi In the What we are working on now post, MySQL is in there. It is for sure on our radar for upcoming releases. Kathy
  • I have it running in my production environment and have only run into two issues: 1. Related to the move to web-based alerting engine. It gives and error and then links to the following, even though all alerts migrated; All alerts we originally defined by Advanced or Basic Alert Manager (Win32 apps on your SolarWinds…
