Extremely interested in getting added to this from a QoS reporting retention perspective. We don't use the NetFlow side and only purchased NTA for QoS capacity reporting so improvements in retention would be fantastic!

These aren't possible today, but those are good feature requests.

...adding IP address on interface detail page... YEA!!!!! As a related request, I would like to see the configured interface name (e.g., GigabitEthernet1/0/1 or Gi1/0/1) for each ip address in the All IP Addresses resource.

That can be done. Create an alert where the Trigger Condition is "Node Status is equal to Up". You can set to trigger only when the condition has been true for more than say 20 minutes. Then on the Time of Day tab, set it to the target hours. It will only alert if it's up on those hours. So if it's up for all 20 minutes…

You could always configure an alert, trigger action based upon system time to reboot using a powershell script. PS C:\> Restart-Computer -ComputerName "Server01", "Server02", "localhost" Restart-Computer

What are your issues with monitoring Linux and databases? Are you just using NPM? Are you also using APM, which is definitely more targeted for servers and apps (such as databases)?

Need to be looking at drap & drop views. If I can see a chart or other widget anywhere else in the UI, I should be able to add that to a customized view. NagXI already does this with both their old native RRDs and with the HighCharts plugin.

Unfortunately the DS groups aren't stored in the alert database, which is the only place Crystal can access. The only kind of "group" that is actually in the database is the subscription group (which shows which rules a user is subscribed to), the rest all just exist as metadata and are inaccessible to reports. We'll have…

I had the same issues and corrected them by removing everything under the report grouping tab. I saw this on other reports as well and the same fix action corrected it. I also upgraded to SP2 which may have been the fix as well. I did both around the same time so which option fixed the problem is hard to tell.

Data retention is not specific to the Report Writer. It's a general setting in System Manager. Go to the File menu in System Manager and you can set retention interval.

Yes, you can add the virtual server as a separate node. You add the virtual server's IP address as a separate node. Is that not working?

We are seeing the same. Anything I can add / do to help track it down?

Hi, I have the same problem. It seems that SW NPM starts many jobengineworker2 processes filling out the whole CPU and Memory. Did you get any solution reply?

Have any ETA on a fix for the scheduled PDF problem?
-
It's a bug.

are your techs trying to view them via the tech page or user/client page, or both? Techs should be able to see all FAQ's in their page, your just have to search for them.

This is a known issue that should be fixed in 2.2, which is due in a few weeks.

Create the reports in Report Writer and add Report Writer resources to a current view or create your own view.

So far, I have located this and it has been very helpful - Need to change our username passwords ASAP - Help Please . I have modified it to my needs for a specific device. Next, I need to figure out how to add the variable input for the telnet password and then add the command at the bottom.

You have multiple options, all being manual since it's a new unconfigured router. You can copy it (and remove line numbers in your view if you have admin rights) from NCM. Paste it in or save and copy it from a network location. I do not believe there is currently any bare metal support integrated with NCM AFAIK.

Additionally, How are the maintenance events categorized? I want to see the history in the event viewer, but they do not appear to be under any of the options - I would have though "Informational" , but that log is empty.

If you haven't already, the first thing you'll want to do is configure the Send SNMP Action connector, which is on the appliance. Go to Manage > Appliances, click on the gear next to your appliance, go to Tools/Connectors, navigate to the SNMP active response, and create a new instance for it. After that, go back to your…

Many thanks to all who responded. If, when a node is deleted via API, its interfaces, volumes, etc. are also automatically deleted, that is main reason for my post. Regards, Matt

Hello fholzapfel, There are some threads here, here and here discussing the message error you got. Please check them to see if some of the information posted there could be useful. Kind regards, Maria

I also wish I hadn't purchased.

on 3. would you be able to suppression alert it the node is unmanaged in npm?

The scripting method is one device one line at a time. I have always felt it was slow and do not use it. If I had to make a recommendation, use PyExpect or Perl, or Expect with fork enabled in TCL. Any one of these will fork the pid's and spawn children and hence run tasks across multiple devices concurrently. In…

At least getting it on the What We're Working On - Log & Event Manager Edition (Updated October 18, 2016) page beat the death knell of flash!
