Netflow has helped me solve so many bandwidth capacity queries and outages over the last year. I'm glad to have it. Combine it with NPM and SAM and i'm able to answer questions about an infrastructure that would take me days to find out if I didn't have it.

I agree this is ridiculous that we have timezone issues. I have 20 polling engines and two additional web servers. I currently use UTC on everything, which is fine for consistency of polling data. But, the biggest thing I think we need, is that the web console becomes browser timezone aware and simply converts the times…

DanielleH, this one is very creative. I don't think a lot of admins realize the network they support is a lot like marriage. My wife always talks about the 'other woman' and she means the time I spend working on upgrades and rectifying network problems. Good post!

Good suggestion - did you submit a feature request on this one through support? Any more info you can provide about how/what it logs and where (event log, database, flat files)? We will add it to our research pile, but more info can definitely help accelerate the process. Often documentation is behind closed doors
