It's also worth noting that we don't even pass mice/keyboards on to USB-Defender, only mass storage devices, network devices, and phones. You likely won't even see events when these devices are plugged in, unless you're using the "Extended" USB-Defender connector, in which case you should be careful. USB Defender local…

We use a report which rolls up the outage time monthly. It looks like this:

FYI, this is an APM question in the NPM forum. I'm happy to answer, but you'll get quicker answers in the right forum. This isn't possible in APM today, but it's something we plan to add.

Use Orion Report Writer and then use the filter tab (filter on the Region, its located under Custom Property). Save a copy of the report and it will be available in the Web Console. You can then use Report Scheduler to email the reports!

As per this thread: www4.solarwinds.net/.../topic.asp Reinstalling Orion over itself appears to work. I am having the exact same problem after installing Eng. Edition v8 on top of Orion NPM, on Win 2k3 server, but I'm hesitant to do a full reinstall of NPM if I don't have to.

You can alert on Traps Start > Program Files > Solarwinds > Orion > Syslog and SNMP Traps > Traps Viewer From this tool, go to File > Settings > Alert/Filter Rules Tab > Add Rule On the Alert Action tab, click Add Action, scroll down, and there is an option to email.

Even performing a 'show run' within Cirrus exudes the same behavior - stops at the banner.

I got an answer - it is because of leveling with the techs. WHD is designed to use the escalation feature not as a "this ticket needs to get taken care of right away" but "level 1 techs cant fix this so we need to escalate it to a level 2 tech". This would then pull the ticket from the level one techs group and now they…

i have the same problem. I escalate number of errors issues to the provider and most of them will not even look at the errors until they reach a specific percentage of bandwidth. Orion does not seem to be able to do this. the technology required seems simple so i am not sure why, but then i might be mis-understanding how…

Thank you so much it's been resolved

Hi, I had the same problem and it was caused by a network link that was missing it's interface. As soon as I associated the link to the corresponding interface the map came back to green. Hope this helps GR
-
Wow, that's interesting info. Thanks for following up.
-
You will need to create a custom property via the Custom Property Editor, you can definitely set and modify custom properties via the web.
-
I have the same problem with Cisco 1100 APs. I have an open ticket with support and I have provided them a sample config of one of my APs. Anyone else find a work around for this problem?
-
Just curious, but what is the node number you are trying to get information for?
-
Here is my first attempt. Since the company I work for is global, so I need some good weather maps for Asia and Europe. Any ideas for that would be appreciated.

I wish I still had that sort of stuff hidden away... I had to get rid of it all due to being involved with a religious cult and then my house got overtaken by rabbits. Funny how life dictates the tech you end up with isn't it? Now I have a little desk with a brightly lit gaming rig, a NAS box / VMWare server, under my…

You may want to change the logic in the trigger. I have to check mine - I had same issue before, but I think you want to only alert when the device is up or not admin down, correct?
-
I figured this one out. When creating the custom property, the "type" was set to text instead of integer.
-
I believe high bandwidth connections require 64bit counters to be enabled. Support should be able to answer for sure.
-
Did you lose your 64 Bit Counter setting?
-
You can see in my attached file.

Sorry for the late reply, i was in the holiday's. I found the error. It was a error from our Server. It runs a Software from HP for teaming the NIC's. I disabled this one and it works fine. Thanks for your Help
-
I presume its using Multiline to match, if so I'd expect this to work: ^interface.*\n\s+description DS[13][\w-]+\d+[^\.]\d+$
-
I'm have the same issue. When I make a change and save it. Then run a test against it, it show's it ran the test against the original setting in the log.
-
Hey rgray@harryanddavid.com, Check this thread. Might be something similar to what you are experiencing. Hope it helps. Maria
-
Sorry, that's not possible at this time. Good feature request.

Are you saying that if you select them and click "acknowledge", they aren't acknowledged?

Here's what I did for the latest 8u60 java to uninstall 8u51 from our computers. I set it to move on even if the uninstall fails as to not hold up and new patch, and put the 1605 as a success code in, in case the computer does not have that version installed it won't matter.

Alterego makes a great point that is generally true of Forums everywhere, not just SolarWinds. While you might not consider me a credible source, I can tell you this: We know how many customers have downloaded, and we know how many Support tickets and Thwack posts we get. Without going into details, I can say that these…
