I'm glad to hear about the better F5 support. Particularly helpful would be the ability for NCM to login to the LTM, save the config to a .ucs file and then back up the .ucs file. Since the .ucs file has all the elements required for a successful restore, that would be nice.

In case you're interested, the next version of Network Traffic Analyzer will show the ToS bit, which would allow you to do just what you're looking for (I think). That version - 2.2 - will ship in the next few weeks. 

you can do a mass add of all the nodes and then add the two interfaces on each individually. which is better than adding all then trying to dump all the extra.

Just found a server with a hung service "stopping" APM shows it as pending stopping and it is not up.

There is an APM script that will alert on specific event log IDs. But if you want to do it in volume, we have the Windows Event Forwarder, which you install on each DC, and it will covert logs into Syslog. Once it's in Syslog, you use Orion's built-in syslog server to create rules.

Plan B would work, provided the alert is setup to trigger on 'node down'. The device coming back up should not generate an additional alert (with another SMS) unless you've got it set to do so in the 'reset conditions'. You shouldn't need to unmanage it, as long as you've acknowledged the alert.
