Bumping as I have the same question as aussery
-
I'd be interested in knowing this as well.
-
Without the SSL requirement.
-
It sounds interesting, but it's not currently on the roadmap.
-
will have to defer this to someone else then, due to the fact i do not have a Modules Menu above the Views menu nor can i find an option to select one. Sorry I could not help.
-
Check out these universal device pollers in the content exchange. You should be to build what you need.
-
from the web site go to admin then select Customize menu Bars select the menu bar you want to remove it from and Edit remove the Modules selection then save and it should be good to go.
-
Thanks for the feedback. We'll certainly consider that change.

Hi shy, Here's the documentation needed: How To Upgrade To NPM 11.5
-
Although this isn't a short-term answer, I can tell you that unmanaging applications is expected to ship with the next release. That's still several months away, but the problem is going to be solved.

This sounds great Chris! Can't wait until you get it all working. What I would like to see is the ability to have an option to generate all subnet addresses for Class A, B or C networks based on the subnet mask. As you know the current limitation is you must enter every subnet, one at a time. For example, if you enter…

Hi, I have read this a few times and trying to get the gist of what is being achieved. If you are placing the system name in the user defined group, this is what you are tracking. Is this source machine a host name of a device on your network, or a name which is resolved via a DNS lookup query? Also you have the explore…

Chris(ASL), any update?

Sorry you're having a tough time. There are other ways to do what you're trying to do. One way is to save after every few components. Another way is to go to Manage Assigned Components. If you go to Manage Assigned Application Monitors, you will see a link in the upper right. It says "Manage Assigned Component Monitors";…

Thanks ASL!
-
Me too...me too!!! ASL, can you make this available to all SW customers (with maintenance, of course)? Ron rgward@mdot.state.md.us
-
Add to CISCO configs if you don't have it: (you may need to update IOS. Some versions have bug that doesn't show username) login on-failure log login on-success log Not sure how to get that in the report though.
-
What?...no grouping by custom property? Please bubble this one higher in the priority list.
-
We could definately use port monitoring!! Count me in!
-
I strongly encourage you to open a Support ticket. We did extensive beta testing, but with such a diverse customer base, there are little things that slip through. If you open a ticket, we can collect some diagnostics and help you through the problem. It's not a problem that's well-suited to the Forum.

Hey Byron, First, thanks for your feedback. What we've heard from customers is that the learning curve on LEM is still pretty steep - there's a lot of things you can do and it's capable of everything from simple to complex, but it takes you longer than it should to find things and combine them in such a way that you know…

Here is the image for the prior post. (Moderator, why can't I paste a graphic when creating initial post? You can paste it but it is not saved with post.)
-
It should just show a scalar value, not the same value repeated in a table. That's a bug. We'll schedule that to be fixed.
-
In Orion 8.x, the custom MIB poller cannot poll MIB Tables. In Orion 9.0 (due out soon), polling of tables will be supported.
-
ve just done this (thought without the NIC as i can not see much use for it, as stats would prob. come from the switch) i created a view with 1200 wide, 3 columns, 400 each. I took a specific technology, such as the Citrix servers of which there are 6. I created a CPU chart for the last 30 days and grabbed the HTML that…

if you have solarwinds toolset just run a mib walk and look it up yourself. then you are learning how to build these, it really is not that hard.
-
when the interface/device goes into the unknown state Orion counts it as down time so when the SNMP process is restarted then it responds again and gets flag as rebooted. If you have any devices on less than pristine service lines then when Orion looses sight of them many of them will return with a reboot notification…
-
You can do that with alerts, but I hadn't heard the request for web pages before. Interesting.

anyone?
