Ok, perhaps I need to look at that. I was not aware of that problem. Right now, I am only accepting Netflow for one interface, but I hadn't considered that possible problem. I did deinstall Netflow thinking it may help, but it has not. quote:Originally posted by aLTeReGo Yikes! You never mentioned running NetFlow Analyzer.…

Don't think so, depends upon disk space of course as i've seen WPM create temp folders full of images before.

OK, I am now installing all the latest service packs, and if necessary, I will format and rebuild the server. I can always back up the database, so that won't be too bad to rebuild. If I figure out what it is, I will post it. I think something didn't go right with the install, though it worked flawlessly for two days,…

If you check setup<Assets<Options, is the 'use assets' checkbox actually checked or un-checked?

Can anyone please tell me how to create an application which spans across multiple servers? We have a complex environment which is host to several applications which depend on three or more servers (and their services) being up... not to mention various forms of external connectivity. If any one of these…

Yes, I have checked the event viewer, it's loaded with all kinds of errors. There are so many, I am not sure where to begin. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, I can troubleshoot my specific problem if not, but if there is a known bug, there may also be a fix. quote:Originally posted by aLTeReGo Do…

Hello, It is currently set up for 500 interfaces, most of which (about 98%) are switch interfaces. There is nothing else running on the server. The server itself seems to be performing very well, just the application locks up. I am planning on moving this to a newer server when the new hardware gets here. Thank you

Update on the issue: Jamin Walters finally stepped in and working together I have now activated the temporary keys so I can evaluate the use of DPA for the SAP ASE (aka Sybase) RDBMS. I worked with Jamin on a previous case and he always seems to get the job done.

Most of the Network Atlas fixes are in NPM SP2. There is an SP1 coming out for EOC.

You can change the definition of "warning" and "high" from the web console. Go to Admin > NPM Settings > Threshholds.

Feature request posted here. Please add your vote.

Yes, I'm having the same issue.. Did you ever find a resolution or work around for this?

You should be able to use the All Applications resource, click Edit, and then create a filter. That filter would let you specify exactly which applications the users would see.
-
My best guess here is that if the node is down but not showing then there isn't a matching event.

Hey cisherwood, I double checked and you received 3,000 points, for correctly answered all 20 questions. Congrats!

I see that if I go to the Orion Server and run the Syslog Viewer application that in fact "Message Pattern" does work to search through messages. However it does not work in the web interface to NPM. This looks like a bug. How do we report the bug?
-
From Our Dev team: The Historical Interface Traffic report type can handle this sort of thing easily. I have attached an example that just picks the interfaces with ID 10 and 11. A custom property would also work well.

This happens in all my application component detail counters, they all have CPU queue length on the right...

Is this just an oversite and will it be put back as a feature or is there a better way that I am unaware of. This is a bug. Thanks for pointing this one out. We'll get this fixed.

This is a known feature request that we're considering for a future release.

To expand on what Curtis said, it sounds like we just need to glue your rule together. The DS group you could think of as the "right hand side" of a comparison, and doesn't do anything on its own. Looking at the rules, I think it might be hard to do this in one rule because of how the fields lay out, but I'd start with…

This is a known issue and a fix is coming in a service pack.

We're looking at this issue now. When we have some more information, I'll let you know.

Bummer, all drivers are up to date, no updates for Windows. I'm at a loss...

I was actually looking at this just recently as part of another case. The second engine appearing as 'primary' isn't a problem. Currently the only distinction that is made in the serverType column is for Hot Standby engines.

Currently, LEM/SAM can share data via SNMP Trap Integration. You can send SNMP Traps from SAM to LEM (or LEM to SAM). For SAM to LEM, this is handy because you can fire events detected by SAM into LEM and they will be co-mingled with other log data for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and the like. For LEM to SAM,…

Hi Guys, Thanks for the replies. Im currently in the process of trying to update to SP5, however it SHOULDNT be the reason for the error. Clicking on the >> in Node management does not show my custom properties either. I have made some screenshots for you to look at. Country Site and State are there. Country State and Site…

when you add these IPs then the interface you want to select is the MS TCP Interface. then all the information you see will be only for that IP. You should have a node for the physical server that monitors the actual NICs that you can get cumalative info from.

I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but the first thing I'm going to suggest is installing the latest SP for 9.5. It will be available for download. SP 2 isn't the latest.
