Pics or it didn't happen!

This has my vote! it's like a sonar discovery job that scans existing nodes for new resources. In fact, it's exactly that.
-
Surprised! when an intelligent management tool can do the task, you are talking about change management and systems to solve the issue of unresolved configs on boxes.

Hey guys, Just a small update: we are extending the deadline for the first week of the mission until tomorrow, so that everyone has a chance to share their horror SysAdmin stories. I'll be announcing the winners tomorrow.

SLA at ethernet layer is much more well defined and standardized by bodies like Metro Ethernet forum ( MEF)

With as much customization of the pages that have been put in place you would think doing it with the tabs would just be a natural extension. For example maybe I want my tabs to show information based on my regions for my sites instead of all put together for one Module that I have purchase.

Guys, here's a little KB article for you: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: LEM Console Takes a While to Log in in IE 11 Would you mind trying again after following those steps? I really don't want you to gamble on this mission .

jmcsparin is it possible to re-assign that ticket to a different member of the same tech group, instead of escalating the ticket? Our tech groups have 1-5 members, and in the case of more then 1 member it would be nice to have that person handle the ticket at that level of escalation, instead of pushing it higher up the…

Death-nite, This has been out here for almost 2 years. Did you find a product that could to this for you? I found a tool call iTop that seems similar to what you are discussing. However, it would be nice if it was something native to Solarwinds rather than having to build a ETL process between iTop and Solarwinds. Eric

Require an hour scheduled each week dedicated to training. Scheduling that time helps with getting it done. During each review, make it a goal to complete a certification. SharePoint is used for internal training, rating and commenting. Schedule 4 webinar's a month that are required. We do these things now, however most…

And here I was hoping you have some special fancy wrapping paper in US.

1. Some vendors are not doing good when it comes to GUI. I know a big vendor who boasted that he has latest and greatest GUI on one of his products. For one of the tests, the vendor clicked a button on GUI which opened a mini CLI window inside the GUI from where he started typing CLI commands 2. Yes, one needs to be expert…

Whew, being an avid LEM user I just knew I had today's answer off the top of my head. It wasn't what I thought though. Glad I read the hint lol.

Sounds good count me in!

I've signed up, I'll see if I can spin up a test VM and kick the tires a little so I'm ready for the giving the RC a try when it's ready. Cheers, Jon.

I'm trying to mark a node as 'Warning' if a volume is over 90%. The alert is shown but the node status is not influenced by the alert.

We are in the same boat as you. One way I did was to create a new Folder called "VLAN PLAN" and created sub-folders which I renamed for each VLAN we had.. It takes alot of work, so we just scratched it for now.. But some way to handle VLANS would be very very appreciated.. How about a way just to list all VLAN's that are…

Fair enough; however, Solarwinds is the only NMS system that I've ever used which automatically expands the user's input of a device/node name to it's FQDN. I would prefer either a system-wide parameter or checkbox when adding a node on whether this behavior is enabled or disabled. I would prefer NPM to use the configured…

Hi crwchief6, For the time being, there is no end date for the survey.

I just updated the idea status to WWWO also. I can't give any ETAs, of course PS: Just wanted to clarify that initially this is for Windows Event Logs only, remote arbitrary logs or other platforms will still have to be a TBD. A lot of our Linux tools can be syslogged, though, which might be another way to approach that…

do you know if there is a support matrix for these Switches related to IRF? http://emailsupportnumber.org/gmail-support/

This seems to be an issue in the NOC View for Maps which are not on the first tab. An example is the following: Not all tiles are loading as the shown tab changes, however when it cycles round to the first one loads again that's fine. The maps show fine on the different tabs when not in NOC View.

Hi Danielle, sorry to bother you, but can you tell me where I left off? Thanks, Brandon

I cannot believe i've got all the answers right this month. That never happens. It must be something to do with the blood moon.

+1 We also have a large number of sites where all nodes share a common set of Custom Properties. Having the ability to have these automatically set during discovery would be wonderful!
-
I see audit events for Nodes but don’t see audit events for Interfaces in regard to Auditing Trail. Will they be in final release?

ymendezp, it's fixed now.
