1) New service packs available - should be emailed out if a customer is subscribed. We are looking at how to provide updates within the products. In the meantime, we post every release and SP to the SolarWinds Announcements Forum. You can either subscribe to that forum via email, and you'll get notified, or you can use the…

Hi Chisle- Dumb question: Are any ports blocked? Another Dumb Question: Are you sure the Community String is set properly in SolarWinds? Are you able to fire up the SolarWinds UNDP app or SNMP MIB App and Walk it? Someone took a lot of time and care to compile this for us: C-Series Hardware health.UnDP It worked awesome…

For linux boxes create an UnDP poller and use the hrSystemUptime OID: http://www.oid-info.com/get/1.3.6.1.2.1.25.1.1 It will be a pain to setup because you can't choose what SolarWinds uses to poll uptime (note to SW: make this an option please). What we did was create a custom node property called hrSystemUptime…

We plan to upgrade those in the future.

i agree, this needs some work. the way i have tried to get around it is to publish the web-console from citrix, and locking down internet explorer so you can not break out or even see the URL the problem we still have is that for some reason, solarwinds deemed it good to pop-up windows at every opportunity, events, custom…

I can tell you we're working on authentication, but I can't give you a timeframe.

A great way to avoid those duplicates is to ensure that any alerts setup, that may be triggered is the node is down, have a trigger condition that includes "Node is not equal Down". See screenshot below:
-
Any thoughts on this?
-
I'm also wondering about this!

It might be a PITA, but you should be able to edit the IP source/range into a group and run the report just against the group. I know i will need to do this to police the Altiris guys from pushing out DAT files during the middle of the day on our sub DS3 links. Let me try it once I get the eval license upgraded over here.
-
If you have the OID, you can use the Universal Device Poller. Just paste the OID into the UnDP user interface. Whether it's in the MIB DB or not is a separate issue.

s'all good jtimes. i'm probably one of the more laid back people you'll ever come across. i was checkin out that thread this afternoon. could have been yesterday because i do not recall reading your post. thanks for that...i'll try it. now...to get that realtime-ish weather map imported.

quote:Originally posted by jtimes spooky... does it seem to corellate with either of your (ceclark & nwood) node re-discovery times? Unfortunately, I can't say for certain. This is one of those types of issues where now that it's been fixed (regardless of HOW it got fixed), I've moved on to bigger fish.

no it will sit there for an hour here, an hour there. i'm set to 30 minutes rediscovery. even when i go into sys man and manually poll then rediscover they will not go green. Validate snmp also fails at that point. later it will come back without touching anything. We have enough youth, how about a fountain of smart?

true enough. mine have disappeared as well. they seem to go thru a cycle. I have not narrowed down a particular length of time they're down, or up, or how often.

We're going to post APM 2.0 SP2 later today, and I think it will fix your problem. It has a fix for the job engine, which is shared by NPM and APM. I can't promise, but I would try it first. If the problem persists, open a ticket.

Thanks! I've entered it into our bug tracking system.

Not that we know of.

We are about to release 2.0, which will not support Account limitations, but we plan to have another release this summer that will support Orion account limitations. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

Awesome! Glad to hear you got everything you needed out of the evaluation. LEM isn't yet integrated into the SolarWinds portal the same way that other products are - this is something that we're working on. In the meantime, you should have received an e-mail that had: * Your license file * A link for the OVA download * A…

Now some of the APs are still showing up. In these, under List Resources the Wireless Access Point resource is showing up. On the non-detected units, this is not a selection.
