Great to hear you got it working. Kathy

You can have a 1-column view and include nodes with problems, etc., but there's currently no way to have some resources with 1- and others with 2-columns.

I'm interested in the latest and greatest. If you like, you can email to me at rgward@mdot.state.md.us Thanks, Ron

User experience was going well until... I went to sync NPM with WEBHD endpoints were imported into WEBHD but all endpoints are missing attributes such as serial number, machine address the fields that are available in the attributes screen. I opened case 987870 with support on 5/30/16 and still waiting on a communication…

hi all this no longer seems to work on current version.... the SQl returns no results, but i can see lots of toplogy.... any help?

Absolutely! Nice work Ian! I've been waiting patiently and hoping this capability would come one day. I've wanted to search (list) all my ATM interfaces in one view. One question though...the Interface Name is displayed in 2 places; Once under "Parent Node & Interface" and again trailing the Interface Description (without…

Thanks everyone! I'm down to 1 min (with 400 nodes) with no problem.

That's a very old version. You should consider upgrading to 9.1. You're missing out on a lot of functionality. You can run a report to show active alerts, if you're using advanced alerts.

Are the agents themselves online? Generally connectors are auto-start and the only thing that causes them to stop is an error. Also, if you're looking at the "Node Details" area in the Ops Center area, I'd also check Manage > Nodes and then Gear > Connectors on that agent. We've seen reports that the "Node Details" area…

attached is a picture of how you can do this in the system manager....

You can configure a batch list of reports to run in sequence. You effectively generate a scheduled task for each individual report, then have a master that says "run them in this order" which is what you actually schedule in task scheduler. If that sounds like what you want, I can drum up the instructions (there's in fact…

What does your script look like? I just had errors on a new script I created becuase I had an extra exit / logout command that was logging cirrus out of the router within the script itself. Cirrus thought it was losing connectivity to the router. I took that logout command off, and just ended my script with a write mem,…

Which APs do you have? We may be expanding support, but no firm decisions have been made.

I repaired the UDT service plugins and that seems to have fixed things

Could you tell me a bit more about what you're trying to accomplish? Why do you want to change the Machine Type value? This would be a feature request, but if I'm going to add it to the queue, it really helps if I understand the scenario and the problem you want to solve.
-
This is a problem that Orion APM can detect.

Some customers use the second NIC in LEM for alternate configurations (dedicated database, IDS). If you're not doing any of that, feel free to delete, you can always add it back later if you actually do need it.

Is clustering supported for the database? I would share the SQL server used for SCOM 2007, which is clustered. Yes What is the support lifecycle for the application? i.e. if we install 9.5 today, until when would we get patches and updates (assuming the client doesn't upgrade every year). Also, when a service pack comes…

SQL Server never met a GB of RAM it didn't like. SQL will use what's available, and the Orion server can use a lot of SQL's capacity, especially if you're running modules like NTA or APM as well as NPM.
-
May be a silly question, but are you putting a $ in front of {node.DeviceContactEmail}? And where are you defining this? In the Email/Pager recipients? Or via some custom SQL? If it's custom SQL then the table containing that custom property is Nodes, not Node.
-
I don't see how this can be done with Cirrus, but it's easy with Orion Network Performance Monitor's custom reports.
-
hi there is the trigger running in the application component context? (using the pull down on the trigger tab) cheers dan
-
I've requested on 2 occasions that they should post the Build version or Post date of the latest Orion release on the Download page. I don't understand why they can't do so this for their customers.

We have a much lower tech solution that works well for us. We send a short text only email to the SMS address of our cell phone provider. IE <phone#>@txt.att.net. We also use myairmail.com for a couple devices. That may not be robust enough for what you are doing though.

In the upper left corner of Network Atlas, there's an icon(Four blue dots connected with black lines). Hit that button, and you'll get a menu option for a new map. Ctrl-N also works for creating a map.
