Here is the technical reference I received from support if anyone is interested. [View:/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Components.UserFiles/00.00.01.76.11/OrionDisasterRecoveryExt.pdf]

I believe you can even do it with AND operation like: port D AND -High collision or drop rate. This is the easiest way The other is to put the digit check "port D[0-25]-High collision or drop rate." I havent tested this, Or there is another way to search for a string of a specific length. So you can split them at the digit…

Hi There is not much flexibility in the import of NPM data to NCM, have you tried by vendor ? Kind Regards James

Does 10.3 need to be installed on additional Web Consoles?
-
Oh , i just saw update detail in NPM 10.1 that it support . http://www.solarwinds.com/products/orion/vmware_monitoring.aspx?CMP=NLC-EML-SWI-SI_1210-NPM-PFEAT2-TXT-3_TIPS&elq=35f050c7100346e1aa836e30eefeb761

Good suggestions. I've added them to the feature database.

But I can't translate email from Serv-U when guest uploads file(s). Subject: "File uploaded to share". Maybe someone knows?
-
After investigation i have an answer on the first question. To use your own strings file by default for all users just make change to first 3 rows in all "htm" files in folder Serv-U\Client\WebClient\Share\ For example if you want italian interface change them to <!--#include "..\Strings\Strings_IT.strings"--> <!--#include…

I'd leave the pollers on my private network and put a web console in the DMZ

Yes, you need to specify the row with the OID.

any response on this? did you get help to solve it? we are having a related problem. we have a ton of Solaris 10 servers, where we get constant UNKNOWN application statuses. it turns out they are mostly Solaris 10 zones. we know that if we use net-SNMP 5.4 we can solve the problem, but apparently net-SNMP from sun freeware…

I'm not completely clear on what you're asking. Are you trying to use the old Application Monitor? APM can monitor whatever AM monitors.

I've seen this occur when I'm making multiple ticket changes with an action rule and my order of the changes is wrong. * Specifically when I'm assigning a ticket to a new tech group using a rule. I first had to Modify the ticket and assign the request type before I assigned the Tech group. * It has also occurred when I was…

That's not normal. That's where job results are stored temporarily. Do you have a lot of wireless devices? Are you using energywise monitoring on a lot of devices?

Don, try checking to see whether your NetFlow Summary view type is set to "Summary" instead of "NetFlow Summary". That would cause the error you are seeing.
-
If they're being prompted for login via IE, I assume you're using integrated AD authentication? You may need to make sure that the other users have your Orion server in the "trusted sites" and "intranet zone" in IE. Anything special about their AD accounts from yours?

quote:Originally posted by cherrypicker Netflow is a cool tool; one thing lacking is its reporting capabilities. Does anyone know if Netflow will be integrated into NPM reports and report writer? Experiencing the same problem, once user account limitations have been applied users can't see Top xx Conversations (though they -can- see Top xx Applications).

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but did this ever get added? It would be really handy to do.
-
You guys covered it... thanks for voting on the feature, too. In the meantime, I hope you have your copy/paste fingers ready...

If you use the LEM "Audit - Internal Audit Report" you should be able to see which rules have been changed and by which user. That doesn't tell you WHAT was changed, or which rules are currently enabled, though, and there isn't really a good way to do that right now.
-
No, there really isn't... this would be useful, though. We do have a couple of agent maintenance reports that can tell you when agents went on/offline and that sort of thing, but there isn't really a "state of my agents" report. Log & Event Feature Requests

Any update? Can someone help?

Hi Eric, What database type are you inquiring about (SQL Server)? What is the message you see? Kathy
-
Is this a bug? When you want to schedule a node/device to be unmanage by Node Details >> Unmanage - you cannot specify any future date/time. Even though it takes what was submitted. It works only with current date/time. For example...let say current date is Nov 7/08, time 10:30 AM - so I want to schedule this…

There are usually a few things that contribute to Console performance: * The volume of data coming through the system * The # and type of filters in Monitor * The # and refresh rate of widgets in Monitor and Ops Center * The resources available to the workstation Regarding volume, you started in the right place - tuning…

Hi I have multiple engines on different subnets and there is no issue as I have a shared database located on a MS SQL cluster. The key here is to make sure there are no latency issues between your database and polling engine, it should be as fast as possible. James

Hi joemar14, Check this KB: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: Error Msg: Unable to connect to database. Hope it helps.

The piece that turns data into events for LEM is a connector. What's being logged to the OpenEdge DB that you'd like to track? A specific application, database audit activity?

This is an interface that is not managed by Orion, so we don't which interface it is. You could add all of the interfaces from the device, figure out which is exporting, then delete the rest.
