I'm quite happy to say that as of 10.2, the old NetPerfMonService.exe is no longer part of the product. The functionality there is now part of our Job Engine and Collector services.

I am trying to see if the Application monitor is somethign we woudl like to use at my company, we are a citrix Shop primarily, but as of now now matter which server I monitor I cannot see any cpu or mem usage on any machine.. whether it be Windows 2000 server, XP Pro, or Server 2k3 .... help ? Oh btw the non existant CPU…

I believe it's done through the subject line of the email. As an example, here's the subject line of a change approval email in my test system: Ticket:74 Action:ApproveTicket VisibleToRequester:YES This would break down to: update ticket number 74, approved (yes or no), are the notes visible to the person asking for the…

We'll consider for a future release.

This is a known feature request. It's something we'd like to do in a future release.

What do you mean by able to pruduce bar graph automatically ? NPM has lots of bar graphs that it shows automatically. What exactly are you trying to do?

I have to go and delete the server from the APM and reassign it when it comes back online. I agree this is a real pain too. There needs to be a simple way to disable/enable and app without having to delete and re-add them regardless of status of the node.
-
The APM "job engine" that does the polling will stop polling when it sees that a node is unmanaged. It should go to "unknown", not down. How long has it been? We may be able to change this in the next version. What would you expect it to show?

bkyle, Thank you! I installed HotFix 2 today and it is now working.

Here you go - very simple

That's interesting. I'll check on that.

Trabix, There are two possible issues I can think of that might be causing this problem. 1. You have a load balancer in front of Orion websites. You need to configure the load balancer to make sure that it keeps sending requests as part of the same session to the same Orion webserver. Otherwise you could be mixing…

Hey sniffer, There's a couple of approaches. One way is to determine the type of event - in this case a "service stop" - and build a rule for that. You could make your rule specific also to an Event ID or server (or group of servers, etc) beyond that, but this way if there were new Event IDs or service-specific logs that…

I second that request too. Kind regards

Okay, so I think I got a handle on this and want to make sure. In APM, I create an app builder to be able to check say the WWW service running on a server. I then use NPM to setup an alert to take an action if the app needs attention. So when setting up the app, it had me add the nodes. Now, when I'm building an alert, it…

This is a feature we intend to add in a future release. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

Thanks for your assistance Lawrence, after connecting to the SAS console this worked as expected.

Most of those widgets are driven from filters, which are driven from real-time event data - i.e. stuff coming from logs. Usually network events come from firewalls, routers, switches, IPS/IDS, proxy servers, that sort of thing, so if you're sending log data from those, you'll likely see stuff in the network events…

I upgraded one of my toolsets to 9.0.5 a while back and left it there. It is working fine. I have another box with port mapper 9.2.0.47 and it is exhibiting the problem mentioned above except only 3 MAC addresses show up. Has anyone gotten any help from Tech support on this yet ? I've opened at least 4 support cases in…

Morning, I suspect this is related to the symptoms myself and other users of LEM 5.6 have been experiencing, which is worked around by restarting the appliance. My advice is to restart the appliance through the console and rerun the query. Garreth

Hi puneeth_ah, Could you please expand a bit more on your issue and also tell us to which product is this related? Some screenshots might be useful too. Maria

This feature isn't possible in the current version. Also, the canonical list of nodes and node information is kept in memory, not in the database. So if you change the database, the memory object will overwrite it. The only way to do make node changes directly to the database is to stop the poller, make the change, and…

Netflow gives you a basic idea what protocols are being accessed and what the destination and start IP addresses are so you can speak to the users and find out what it is they are doing, or examine their PC to find out what application is accessing the internet. It is a great tool to complement a web proxy from a network…

Yes, that's a feature request. It's a good one, though.

I don't understand your question. What's do you mean by "ff" resource? Can you restate your question regarding maps?

Joe - Our APs support direct SNMP access per the KB in the latest version of our software. If you contact us at support@meraki.com or call our support, they can upgrade you and you will be able to set up what you need. Thanks, AJ

There is no current alternative to doing this without custom fields. There is a feature request for this that you can vote on here:

One approach is to use LEM's automatic recycling mechanism to cycle out those old nodes that haven't connected in a long time. We built this to help people in VDI environments automatically delete dynamically provisioned systems. Manage > Appliances > Properties An agent node will only "reconnect" to a previous agent's…

I tend to be very cautious about dates, so "a few weeks" was my way of being conservative. To be more precise, we are expecting the modules in mid-January; however, if we find any problems during testing, that time-frame could be delayed. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

Can anyone help?
