For the Q10, in case the code you received after correctly answering the question seems like it's missing a letter, feel free to answer again to make sure you get the complete code.

Thanks! That was my first time using report writer. I used that plus SQL Server Mgt studio to get a good list of WMI credentials and the systems using them.

Here it is

This will not import into the Report Manager with Orion Platform 2015.1.3.

Hello, I have been using this for the last months. We significantly decreased the number of false alarms we received with this. I do too wonder if my tutorial is good enough for someone else to use it.

Thank you rmcder! A very good script not only as is, but as a base to edit for other variations of wmi service queries for custom monitors..

Hey guys, just purchased some ProCurve 2920s and was seeing if anyone had any update as to if they fixed this issue? I have been searching on the HP community forums and discussion boards, but haven't found anything. Short of opening my own support case with them wanted to see if anyone here had any new information.
-
I've been poking at it in my spare time. I think the code itself is still valid, but the 12.x update (maybe 11.x) changed some table names so there are invalid references. I don't think it will be too difficult to update once I figure out where all the fields got moved to.

what am I supposed to do with the SQL file?
-
I have installed according to the path on v10.6. But, I do not see anything on the WebConsole. Can some one please provide more details on what to perform after the install to the appropriate folders - any deletions of other files, etc.?

This is cool and really should be a standard feature within the reporting and views. I know you can hover over charts to get precise figures, but when managers want to print out charts to display on their wall or during a meeting, they don't have the ability to hover over their paper copies. I have been challenged a few…

Hi guys have managed to get this working now and it has helped make our front screen event view much more useable. However i have a question which i wonder if anyone has managed to do. The default solarwinds event summary groups the events to minimise the view space that is used(See Below). Is there anyway of modifying…

disregard that post. was thinking of something else

Hi there, I realise this is an old post but hopefully someoen will see and be able to help. Just installed this as instructed and added the resource to my summary screen however i recieve the following error. Last Events. Filtered There was an error rendering: Last Events. Filtered » View Details I am trying to filter the…

why wouldn't you have used the following OID instead. 1.3.6.1.4..1.9.2.1.1.12 which is Number of input packets which had cyclic redundancy checksum errors.

come on solarwinds, whens HTML5 coming, its starting to be come a bit of an embarrassment

CourtesyIT, I think this calls for a feature request ->> thwack Community Feature Requests.

Hey Guys, This is very interesting - and I have also been looking for a way to accomplish this. Has there been any updates on the progress? Would love to hear from you all! Thanks in advance.

Yep, same version here. Do you have SWQL Studio loaded? If so you can paste the code in there and it will show you where the error is occurring. Also, try to comment out the last line "and N.Vendor = 'Cisco'" and make sure that isn't breaking things. This is a snap of my SWQL with the query pasted in. I do not have any…
-
Hmmm, I just pasted the above code again into SWQL Studio and it worked here. What version NPM are you on?
-
You can try this SWQL query. I scarfed it from some other part of Thwack (but can't rememeber who to give credit to). I added the Vendor CIsco in the where line.... SELECT DISTINCT CASE WHEN [EntityUri] LIKE 'swis://%/Orion/Orion.Nodes/NodeID=%' AND [EntityUri] NOT LIKE 'swis://%/Orion/Orion.Nodes/NodeID=%/%' THEN…
-
Just started looking at this... the SWQL code works in a web report as well as in the Orion SDK but when I try to use it in a custom query resource it fails with a simple error "There was an error processing the request." which usually means a query error but since it works in the SDK not sure what gives. Have you seen the…

Nice Maps, thanks.

Can you point me to where those first few screenshots are located? Is Volume Capacity Forecasting built in, or do I need to create a new alert?
-
michal.hrncirik I'm very interested in trying this beta, i filled out the survey and was wondering what the turn around time on that was. PM me if you have any further questions for me.

How about Node identification using a static parameter like device name or appliance key as IP address based detection doesn't help in a dynamic scenario of DHCP/PPPOE. It would be great if this can be taken care in roadmap. If its already supported do let me know how it can be done.

Mandevil thanks for your help. Could you please help get a report with below details for each run of store procedure? ProcedureName, execution_duration, CPU, DateTime of execution, reads etc? Thanks

How does this replace event alert aggregation that Alert Central does?
