Same issue, it won't respond. The sweep works though, and verifies that the string is public, which is what everything is effectively set to for the printers. The printer setup on the windows server side is also correct. Going to check the firmware and see if there is a known issue.

I may be approaching this the wrong way. All I'm really trying to do is select nodes in the SCOPE of the alert dynamically according to defined node group. If a node is a member of group X, then it would be part of the scope of the alert, for example.

I worked this out. make sure the URL you visit is the login page of solarwinds, I had it going to summary view. Hope this helps others.

We have had similar issues in the past. I found that resetting the performance counters solved the problem. Use an elevated command prompt, cd to windows\system32 and issue a lodctr /R command. Do the same in window\syswow64. Next, issue a WINMGMT.EXE /RESYNCPERF command, then reboot.
