Hi, I'm afraid that the "Run the script under specified account" is not working for me. I have converted the relevant part of my task into PS and run as my test script under Orion, with that option on, and the required credential in the component. The script reports the environment, and it still reports the machine account…

Thanks, I'll give that a go tomorrow and convert my proper script to PS. My PS test as above still reports the computer account from the environment, but I'll try properly with the bits that need the different authority and see if that makes any difference. I'm more familiar with unix, but I suspect that impersonation…

Bob, would you care to share your report on the Content Exchange? It would be a great help to us to be able audit this information.
-
I'd like this information sent out to me in the Alert so I know who the engineer is who I need to contact to find out why they have rebooted the server.

Hello, Upgrading has sorted out the RAM usage thanks for your help. Stu

thanks for the hint and I was able to find the Transform Results Button (which was not on your screen shots) as for where the oid sits if i select the interface button i have so far been un able to get a device to return a result. Although the OID refers to an interface it seems to be global oid? i think im missing…

hi, did you received any solution from them??

That's right, not yet... just export/import.

Hey crzyr3d, Would mind posting here the ticket number? Thanks!

Ok I got this to work by doing the following: I used the bgpPeerState UDP from the content exchange and set the format of it to Enumeration. Assigned my routers that I wanted to monitor to it. And displayed it as a tabular view on the node details page. Then I setup an advanced alert as Yann suggested early on this thread.…

Dodger, We are currently using some form of this on our NOSC view. The little code snippet we put together allows our HelpDesk to click on a link on the Menu Bar and it brings up another page linked to the NetPerfMon database allowing them to input notes into a Custom Property field called Status_Updates. This way they can…

yes, that certainly does work. if it can be done in that chart then it should be no big deal to do it in a custom report and filter down to all the trends that will hit 100% within n hours? Windows, Netapp and Linux volumes are involved. Thank you very much *nod*

Nicole, I understand completely. Perhaps a zipped package that only contains the updated files (including new .htm files to reference them) would be a good compromise. As it was I updated the html on the installers.htm and the agent_install.htm to reference the new versions and added a section for Linux 64 bit. Again, it's…

I'm not sure it's consistent. What I meant to say is we had a functioning 4.6.0 Linux agent (what shipped with LEM 5.2) where I had to use the process described in the KB article above to get it working. When I upgraded the manager and the console to 5.3 the automatic update indicated it was done for the Linux systems but…

And once you have it working, please export it and upload it here.

If you need an "onboarding mission" for your help forum, you're doing it wrong.

many thanks but can you describe how to creat new template and configure monitors?

Would that not effectively just disable the alert from triggering? - i.e. we have packet loss so mark node warning, but don't trigger the alert because it is warning. I want to see the alert originally trigger to tell me theres a response issue since the node isn't necessarily down. However, if it is determined that the…

Hi Curtisi, Thank you for your suggestion. Another question, can fortigate send syslog simultaneously in FortiAnalyzer and LEM?

Hi ">HolyGuacamole thank you soo much you have helped me in solving this issue once aagin thanks warm regards

That's great news. Thank you.

I am having a similar issue with my Cisco switches running ios. Ran debug and verified the issue is the login access process. How do I adjust the login timeout values?
-
Just to be clear. An element is a Node, Interface, or Volume. Your 3500 routers are going to really give you the relevant interface count. It's unlikely you can monitor all of this with one box. You'll probably want one box for the Orion database, a separate box for the Orion server, and then one box for each of the extra…

Well, I wanted to move my Orion server anyway so I went ahead and rebuilt it last night on a new VM. Afterwards, I still experienced the same issue in Google Chrom but FireFox and IE both worked to delete. And then Chrome started working. So I have no idea how to explain that. I had tried both Chrome and Firefox…

Might have to do some more troubleshooting on this. Still not having any luck pulling configurations.

Thanks Denny for the reply. What I was looking for was a 'report' that I could run nightly reporting on unexpected reboots (mainly from Windws servers) in the past 24 hours. I started to look into this further and not sure if there is a filter in Orion 8.5.1 to filter out 'known' reboots. How does Orion know if it is a…
