#3 has already been addressed since this original post. #7 already exists in the web console. We put this in last july, in v9.0. I would like eventually to get a server inventory report out of Orion with something like the following: I don't see this happening in NPM. Inventory is not a core monitoring function. We will…

Well, I had a support case on this, and what it comes down to is Orion broke it. We have seperate NPM, NCM, and additional poller servers, and until now our network people that have been simply using whichever Orion server IP they felt like when setting up the SNMP receiver. All the Orion server IP's worked. Problem is…

Hi Thanks for the update Could I ask that we add this granularity to the discovery process as an enhancement request as it would benifit all users would deploy the SW product. If you need any more details as to what would be benificial then let me know and I will put some together. Thanks James

I don't see that dashboard. Is it possible someone working on our instance deleted it?

I have observed that if the traffic is ICMP from bad IP, it identifies "isThreat" as True but if the same IP gets access to device, I mean login or make any policy changes, or even reboot system, it shows "isThreat" as False. Why is it so as IP is still bad ?? Also would like to know about what all attacks it can detect…

We're actually using it on the same server as our poller (with a seperate DB server) and have Metaframe installed. Works just fine here; dual proc 1.6 Xeon with 2GB of RAM. We are planning to upgrade the RAM though.

That makes sense now. I originally read that as "you will run out of storage space in 15 days." I was monitoring it weekly since we did run out storage twice since I installed NTA a few months ago. Based on this new information, what it is telling me is that the database size is now reasonably stable . Every day one day's…

Sorry but the only HTTPS monitor out there is "HTTPS Monitor"

Well, maybe I shouldn't be so hasty in my search for answers. I figured it out: SELECT RemoteQueueLength from Win32_PerfRawData_SMTPSVC_SMTPServer where name = "_Total"

The interface is a 1Gb interface, and the interface is set to dynamic bandwidth i will try to set i to static and see if that changes everything.

This is a Cisco problem. It's not something we can fix.

Hi Michal, Thanks for getting back to me and the detailed answers - it relaly helps understand how the system works. A couple of follow-up questions if I may: - If i'm running an extremely large network say 3 distinct class B addresses, does this mean that its going to hit every single IP address with an ICMP (and then a…

i run tons of APM but i don't know the answer unfortunately...

Please! Please! fix the Description column in the left panel of Manage Addresses so we can adjust the width of the column. All our Descriptions are truncated. We have to click Properties to view the full Description. Still not able to do this in IPAM 2.0 Also, it would be awesome to have a expandable hierarchical map view…

Who creates this custom MIB file? Do I have to obtain that through SolarWinds?
-
Have you considered implementing, or at least test DHCP sourceguard? This will prevent a machine from getting onthe network with a static IP. This assumes you are a Cisco shop, and have fairly new gear. Daivd

Thanks Michael Working fine for me...!!!

Thanks but I shut down the firewall entirely and I still can't get messages to the server and this is the second 2003 server I've seen this problem with.
-
How do you do that?
-
Problem ended up being a ISAPI filter not recieving the proper permissions. Ended up deleting the website in IIS manager and recreating it with full permissions to fix this issue.

I was aware of CTRL-Click to go back to the previous queue, but ALT-clicking is good to know, half way there at least. Thanks.

Nevermind. It's back to 403. I'm advised not to open a ticket, but has anyone else got a fresh idea on this thing?
-
Hi Marie. But I found that OID using UnDP's MIB walker. ??
-
Originally I saw them in Network Atlas and found they were actually duplicate entries of existing items. I then looked in the database and queried for "isDeleted" and found there were 900+ entries. Currently running SAM 5.2 and upgrading to 5.5 on Friday. Are you talking about the database maintenance function on the…

Good deal. Thanks for the response. On a similar note, is there an easy way to get rid of my unknowns for the Hardware polling? For example my Dell M610 servers don't have a battery but this is reporting in to Orion. Do I need to manually delete these or there a better way?

yes. NE40E

We basically just want the ability to give certain users/groups permission to edit IP address details only. We assign our static IP's by marking an IP address as used in IPAM. The role above Read Only which is Operators is able to do this but they are also able to: "Addition and deletion of IP address ranges from portions…

Yes, I am interested. Thanks!

A big item would be to have an option to show a count of an alert, instead of showing the alert 5000 times. So let's say I have a cisco switch with a fan problem. I don't want it to fill the screen, I just want to see the alert once with a colum that shows how many times the alert was received. This would also require that…

rolling up child status is a feature request. It's under serious consideration.
