I think an easy solution would be to display the Top 10 resouce "Top 10 Interfaces by Percent Utilization" in my Network Summary Home view? Do you know how I can insert that resource into my Network Summary Home view?

Alright, I think I have a working solution. Since it appears there is no way to have the script monitor respond to multiple statistics, I realized I will have to do it within the PowerShell script itself. Using that script you referenced, I also created an ignore list. If every service in the array is running, then the…

Hi Ondrej, Thanks for the response. Unfortunately when I do a successful scan of the DHCP server, then go to Add New -> Found DHCP Scopes, the list there doesn't show the new scope. Instead it just lists the two scopes that I deleted from IPAM (and interestingly, the date in the Found column is the date of the original…

I had a feeling that might be the case. I was just hoping there were something a bit faster to build, since I am no good in VBScript. Perhaps someone has some guidance out there on how to do it with a PowerShell script... Thanks!

The SNMP rule looks like the following Rule -Input Filter -> Input Source(s): Only SNMP ticked ->SNMP Action -> Email myself Sample SNMP Message: Agent_Address community=public, enterprise=1.3.6.1.4.1.16867.1.1.2, uptime=2307, agent_ip=XXX.XX.XXX.XXX, version=Ver1, generic_num=6, specificTrap_num=7, specificTrap_name=,…

UPDATE: I tried to track down what process pegged the CPU, but task manager never would populate any info. I was able to kill and disable LEM Agent service, but CPU stayed pegged at 100% (memory, network, disk all normal). I next started killing Sophos services on my DC, but that also had no effect. Ultimately I again had…

Thanks for replying. I do not expect support staff to answer questions but I do expect them to escalate to someone who can. Yes, we are seeing duplicate records within same minute and this is why we asked if NTA was storing records by seconds or minutes, or if we did something wrong using SDK.

Wow, that's awesome! I had no idea. I reckon it would make a lot of sense to have PowerShell templates for the newer MS system. I'll make a start on that and post up some templates if I have any success.

Thanks Andy. I noticed that on some servers, when it goes down, then back up, the monitored interfaces remain in unknown state even though I can list resources on the node, force a poll, or force a rediscovery. But the interfaces remain in unknown state. Only way I know to fix this problem is to delete the server from…

Well it's telling me in the error that it's having trouble working with the APM_Tag table. I'm assuming that's where the primary key is as well? That article I linked to was the same error on a different table, figured it would work if I substituted the table names.

You can create this rule exactly as described - ServiceStop EXISTS ServiceStart NOT EXISTS ServiceStop.ServiceName = ServiceStart.ServiceName Response Window: 60 minutes If you want to refine it only to a certain service, add another condition: ServiceStop.ServiceName = <service to watch for>

Spiky, that should be all you need to do. Since the hostname and IP will be the same as the old server, you shouldn't have any other problems.

Hi, Thanks for the info - much appreciated. Cheers, Kieran

It has been over a week since this was reported and I have not been updated per your response... I would like to know the status of this issue and the time-frame you guys expect it will be completed.
-
Thanks. Is there any documentation that defines the retry mechanisms for the different componenet monitor types?
-
Could you provide me the time period I can expect to receive these updates? Has there been any update in regards to this issue?
-
Unfortunately, it's not possible to use certificates.

Thanks, glad to see the old mapper is still included. Can't say I understand why the current mapper would be programmed to show today's date under the last status change field. Last switch reboot makes much more sense. I've never found the last send and last receive fields to be accurate so I always rely on last status…

hi there, i am building a centralsied Orion install, so at the moment putting the back bone together before i migrate stuff to it. i currently have around 6,000 interfacesm 3,000 volumes, lord knows how many custom pollers, and around 1000 applications... I am about to add arounf 15k interfaces, over 2k nodes when i…

Might want to compare what you are seeing in Audit Events (all 3) resources with what's is really logged in database. Not all audit logs for specific node are being displayed and on some random nodes no logs are displayed at all in our environment. However, all audit events are in the AuditingEvents table and are visible…

I would say there are about 250-300 mailboxes at about 1.3GB in size in each database. I have now also noticed that I receive the following error randomly on the databases. I suggests this link SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: WinRM/WinRS Connection Limitations which I have followed the steps to. I will link the current…

No IE8, just IE10 or 11. It just doesn't seem as seamless for me than using anything else. Are you using IE + WHD through https?

That message is a warning - it is possible the rule and action will fire even though it's there. (It's also possible the rule will fire but the action will fail, but I haven't reproduced this myself to be sure one way or the other.) What I'd do: * Use an email or other action to confirm the rule is in fact firing as…

Yes, the Type of Property to Monitor is set to Virtual Machine but the ${Node.IP_Address} variable is not working. The embedded SQL query works great! Thanks Quang!

Anyone? there must be someone who has also requested this??? Another custom poller that would be great to have in the inventory report would be the device serial number which I also have custom pollers for. Dave

Could you give us more detail on the account limitation you set up?
-
Thank you. Is there any script example of this?
-
I realize this is an old post but I notice the PM never responded. I'm also interested in a report like this that shows the details for each rule that is checked for the auditors as well as used to document our policy standards.

I talked with Ondrej, and it looks like there might be an issue with your configuration. We think opening a Support ticket would be the next move. Please reference this thread in your ticket.
