This is not the behavior I experience. It was the same on 11.0.1 and now we're on 11.5 and still the problem. If you search for MYCOMPUTERNAME you get nothing. If you search for MYCOMPUTERNAME* and the string is somewhere in the middle of the message you STILL get nothing. You MUST put a wildcard both in front of and…

Jan, worked like a champ!!! Thank you so much. I will make this change on all our EOC's - keeping in mind that it will probably have to be reset after every upgrade or configuration wizard run. I can live with that. Thanks!

Bump.... This issue came up again so I want to see if it is possible.

We have (1) 3.0.2 ESX server and (5) 3.0.5 ESX servers. On the ESX Details page I am only seeing the data from the 3.0.2 ESX server. But in order for that to display I need to put a "view limitation" in which I am doing by Group of Machine Type and then selecting VMware ESX Server. I also checked and I have the…

Although it doesn't help today, we are adding Lotus Notes support in v3, which is out later this year. I think it uses SNMP, not WMI, which is not something APM can do in 2.5. The Universal Device Poller might get you what you want in the meantime.

Thanks for the reply, I didn't find where I can create the filter. Can you provide more details? I have a connector already created and it is connected (I didn't create it). Thanks, Justine.

Any movement or road map for when it will be fixed? We were bit by the problem again this morning.

Add Class to Policy Remove Class from Policy Change Class (traffic shaping and policing) Those were my recent encounters.

Thank you byrona. I thought the "+ New Menu Bar" under "Select a Menu Bar to Customize" meant adding a new TAB. I mis-understood. Thanks.

Thanks. I owe you a coffee!

Hi Andy, Many thanks for you response, but I tried as a user initially, but it complained that I was not administrator etc. so logged in as admin and get the error. Just installed another version of SFTP as a test successfully therefore suggesting that I am in admin. My preferred option is to use SolarWinds as we have been…

Thank you for your reply, I was logged in as a user initially and it complained then that I needed to be Administrator. Logged in as Administrator and it was then I encountered this error....

Please tell me which version of the hotfix? I just put hotfix 2 on the server today (again) and I still am not able to get the correct results. If you want to look at the support ticket here it is. Case # 92458

Hi, we have the same problem (different character but it's the same problem). How you solved it? '', hexadecimal value 0x17, is an invalid character. at System.Xml.XmlEncodedRawTextWriter.InvalidXmlChar(Int32 ch, Char* pDst, Boolean entitize) at System.Xml.XmlEncodedRawTextWriter.WriteElementTextBlock(Char* pSrc, Char*…

I had run a sonar scan but had not imported devices yet pending responces to post. Just happened to be checking on Node details for device and saw that connection data was now showing up in NPM network topology. So I ran a test using connectnow in Network Atlas and it worked. So it would seem all you need to do is run the…

In the registry I I have Solarwinds>Orion>Core with no info on NTA or Hotfixes Only thing relating to Network Traffic Analyzer is Solarwinds.Net>Netflow Traffic Analysis>Settings with no info re Hotfixes... You said the lastest is hotfix 4 for v2.2, but I am running v2.1.. I presume this would have issues? Also is there a…

Hi Martin, I like your suggestion and i'm just being tripped up on one point. I need to assign each of the 2 HTTP monitors to different nodes.

When I added the additional devices to alert on , i did change the query on the trigger from all to any on the Trigger condition not the reset action, would that change cause the alerting to change?

For this particular server we were just wanting to collect information about the processes in question such as CPU/Memory usage while the process is running to help troubleshoot any performance problems.
-
Thank you Steve. A quick download and setup shows that problem gone. I searched and did not find anything close to what I had posted. Had this been brought up before? Walt

On a side note, your sprintf appears to be formatted incorrectly - sprintf "%.0000000f" If you were trying to output a number accurate to 7 decimal places you'd want to use "%.7f". As it is, it would just output a whole number (0 decimal places).

Excellent report! I'm wondering if there's a way to scale down the up-time report to just a select group of nodes?
-
Hey thanks. That's exactly what I needed. Unfortunately my script runs fine on various machines and returns a different result than inside Solarwinds. "Down' might be different if script exits with a different exit code"

Sean, Thanks. I just don't understand why I can't define the table as an interface and have it show up under the nodes 'list resources'. I just put in the feature request, but I probably didn't explain it right.

what about if we have an additional SLX pollr witht he APM module installed... is there a new poller module or do i run the main installer on it too
-
Thanks for the reply - I will try this and see if it solves the problem.

Thanks for the response. I think they absiltuely need to allow us to run reports and export them in excel. If I can do it from report writer, I should be able to create a task/job. Now I am saddled with having to run the report manually and exporting it myself. Kind of annoying, but a limitation is a limitation I suppose.

Ivodlouhy: Any news related to updating the SFTP/SCP download link to the latest version?
-
Khanin: It would be nice if someone from SolarWinds would respond! These are free tools, so obviously provided at only a best-effort support level, but your questions are important and valid. SolarWinds? Anyone? I did a Google search and found at least some minimal information: Use the SolarWinds TFTP server News, Tips,…

Where do I run this at?
