Thanks for your reply. I was afraid that was the case but we can still work around that. We have been removing some interfaces due to our licensing restrictions, which I hope get upgraded soon, but I was just wondering if there was a workaround in the meantime.

I was actually looking to have, everytime I ran my custom reports, it would save it to a network location. But since they don't have that feature yet, I'll just manually save it to one.

Thanks laffen. For some reason this just won't work. I thought I had it all set up correctly but keep getting the error The remote device timed out before sending a response Availability:0.00%Coverage:1 hours, 17 mins, 14 secsDuration:9 mins, 50 secsHope the sreenshot can help. Thanks.

I was having all kinds of issues too since I upgraded. Wrong numbers being reports...gauges not updating, etc. This new .exe and .dll seem to have fixed it, other than the license error thing.

Chris, Great. I'll send you an email offline.

I am almost there.... I snagged a WMI script to get the mfg, model and serial from WMI and am posting it to the node CP's using SQL agent. I then developed a report to display this information. As so as I can I will try to write a process to define the steps to share.

I just did a walk on the MIB against one of my servers and could not find any OID that contained the Manufacturer or model.

Except that, even with account limitations, users can mouse-over any node on the map to view IP address & system type along with the warning "You are not permitted to view any information on this object". Which I guess is a little bit of an inconsistency itself since they are in fact seeing -some- information about the…

Yes, SSH is set to auto, but I also tried different SSH modes. This is a 6509 it's trying to access running on 12.2(33).

I have a similar issue. I have the 22.0.0.210 file but my catalog still shows .209 so I can't publish due to checksum mis-match. I run a catalog synch and it completes successfully but still only .209 in the catalog so its kinda a catch-22 situation.

Hi John, We haven't seen this one before, so I did some quick digging. Everything here is based on what I could find online. We do have IIS/W3C logging connectors, but those won't catch the WMS-specific fields out of the box. You'd be able to search 100% of the data, but we would need to do some improvement work on our end…

Fair enough. I guess I was kinda trying to hint really hard that SW should look into improving the Alerts story. Anyhow, what we're doing for the moment is adding separate queries for each alert that will query the appropriate table based on the AlertStatus.ObjectType field in order to try to get the parent NodeName. Here…

helo i would like to kno this as well thanks

Which version of Toolset is running? There's a known issue with 9.1 where you have to launch a tool directly first. Once that's been done, you can launch from the web console.

Awesome, thank you for the super speedy response Steve. This is exactly the sort of information I am looking for. At the moment I am evaluating 3 products primarily for configuration management/versioning to figure out which fits best into our business. What may become an important criteria is the ability for us to add in…

Hello Deltona, Thank you for providing your experience. Anyone else ? It is not my organization's case but I would like to see if anyone tried to let NTA receive 10,000 flows/sec or 20,000 flows/sec with the Top Talker Optimization was set at 100 %. Regards, Tak

Thank you very much for this information! Kind regards, Bert

Hello, Denny - Any idea when the node grouping will be available? My mouse scroll button is wearing out ;) Thanks!

Ive posted all this before but if you are familiar with the original wireless module there isnt much of a comparison and it shouldnt really require a customer to outline the differences for Solarwinds. But i will humor you. What makes NPM... NCM... APM.. Netflow... etc all valuable is historical visibility that provides a…

That did the trick. The engineer I talked to on the phone did not know of this. Thank you, Susan

am i right in thinking KIWI lets you specify 2 email servers, primary and secondary? it needs to be automatic, so 2 boxes in the server tab would do... it is amazing how many times in the past 12 months my primary email server has gone down but the secondary solution was up... but i knew nothing about it as NPM culd not…

Thanks for responding... I had missed it because my LEM Internal Events is flooded by an Unmatched Logd Data message for one of my devices...

I would recommend that you open a Support ticket. This is probably not a great issue for Thwack.

So what does it do then?
-
By next release, would that be 10.3 or 10.3.1? We see the same problem.

I like pimp_vader's idea with the embedded count in the graph with color legend to the side. With the present hardware resource design, you need to glance back and forth from pie chart to count legend. With the embedded count, you see everything with one direct glance. Like to see this carried through with all Orion…

This is perfect and thank you so much. This saved me days trying to sort through 1000's of devices. BTW you can add and on the next line OR ObjectSubType='icmp' OR ObjectSubType='agent' can also be used to pull that information.

Thanks for the response Joe. I went down that road with a similar version of that msi /uninstall {guid} script when I first tried getting all our users onto the latest version of Java 6 and uninstalling all the old versions in the days before Java 7 was even available. I even tried to 'clean' things up with JavaRa. I never…

This doesn't seem to solve it because vMotions apparently touch the file and affect the Modified date. You might have to use a vCenter alarm. "VM Reconfigured" might be the right Event but I haven't tested it.

Good Job ! - where can I find this templates on my machine? Can you please post the folder to this files? I think we will need this for further instances. Greetz Otto
