Big thanks. I was going out of my mind trying to figure out what was wrong. We were seeing over 2,000ms indicated on the graphs but the pings were good.

hi there we are on the same path, i have the same thing, but the number of diferent apps is now up to30ish, so the node props have go out of hand :-( i think if we could pull the description through it might help, but it would fall apart when we had diferent information we wanted to stick in for the same app template, but…

That worked for me. Thanks very much for the help.

Yo T! Hmmm, well, I believe what yer telling me, but given that, I don't understand how I can query Orion.ActiveAlerts and get no data back. https://lsdorion:17778//SolarWinds/InformationService/v3/Json/Query?query=SELECT TOP 100 AlertID, AlertTime, ObjectType, ObjectID, ObjectName, NodeID, NodeName, EventMessage,…

Hmmmm, well, I've tried that, sort of, by doing a query for anything AFTER.. well, here's my latest query; SELECT TOP 100 Name, Enabled, Description, StartTime, EndTime, DOW, NetObjects, Trigger, Reset, Sustained, LogFile, LogMessage FROM Orion.Alerts WHERE StartTime >= '1899-12-30T17:00:00Z' ORDER BY StartTime ASC And my…

Hi Josh, your right, it's actually the "CPU load" on "SQL Server Process".
-
Go to Admin > APM Settings > Application Monitors Then in the "Group by" dropdown, select "Application Monitor Templates". Click on the template name you're interested in. There you go.
-
In the custom properties for nodes resource. If I could hide the empty properties then I could only fill out certain properties for certain groups of nodes and then my servers wouldn't have a CircuitID property listed.

You can see it but get an error when trying to poll it. The app use snmpv1 if you look using an analyser. When using a new command line tool it works, so its not the switch.

Hi, We are mainly interest in the performance montioring tools, SNMP graph particularly as we can use it for one second granularity when monitoring interfaces. Any performance monitoring tool that monitors Gigabit interfaces needs the high capacity counters. Many thanks Ian

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately that command is not available on the ASA's.

That is the interesting thing. If I change our test user back to a difficult password there is no access, simple password and it works. I'll raise a ticket and see what they say.

I have been looking for a product that does both the passive and active monitoring. I need to know how my network is doing over time and to alert me when anything is not correct, passive monitoring. However, I have some high visibility applications that I need to know how they operate over the network. I need to know my…

Hello We are now running LEM V6 and Agent V6, the agent still does not appear in the nodes list, however i did find a workaround. After the agent install i stoppped thes services. Then i deleted the spop folder and restarted the services. Now the agent appears, this is happening on all new 2012 R2 servers we are spinning…

NTA uses the NetFlow capabilities of devices to get the information directly from all the flow. If I am looking at this correctly this will allow us to test / monitor specific traffic across the network to see how it is responding vs. NetFlow which is just the data that is collected.

Our developers are incorruptible, so I don't think there's anyone you can pay. It's a great idea. We'll consider it for a future release.

I still cant get it to work even with the template. First off the command on my WLC is sh run-config, and the template has running-config which errors out. Changing the template to run-config fixes that, but now I have to go through a series of press enter to continue prompts. These range depending on the device to around…

I have part of the same problem. I upgraded Orion and moved it to a new server. None of my Basic alerts are listed. However, if I click on the button to Test Alerts, they are all listed in that drop down box. Where can I find them, how can I get them back into the list under Basic Alerts. This is critical for me, I have no…

Yes they are supported by the vendor. I originally thought since these Polycoms are hardly used, that Solarwinds didn't collect enough "samples" because there wasn't enough traffic.

WOW!!! 95% of NPM's usability comes from the data collected via SNMP running on a node, but NPM can't tell you if SNMP data collection is failing for a node? And to top that off, SolarWind's response is to purchase an APM license for every node for which NPM collects SNMP data? I feel for those of you who do not have a…

Thanks Jon. It's not a big deal most of the time but is during upgrade periods.
-
Thank you Michael, that worked. I was looking at the resources in the Nodes Details view and saw many resources not shown for certain node types and thought there was a more advanced way to filter what resouces are shown. But creating a new view works too.

Please do let us know what they say. Autodetection doesn't work for my default browser on my Droid v2.2 either. -Scott

Hello, I am currently running v2.0 for APM and I don't believe these features are available yet. If true, when is the expected implementation for the features? Thank you, Byron

Hi Richard, did you find some time to get the walks? If no, can you please try to do that? You can send the walks to Michal or directly to me pavel.spacil@solarwinds.com. Big thanks in advance!
