Thanks, but unfortunately that doesn't work either. I think I screwed it up more by trying to delete the certificate and re-importing it. I'm getting errors like this now (it wasn't until I messed with the certificate).
-
Thanks Janene16, I looked at the certificates on the Orion Server and found 4 Solarwinds certs. All were ok and had private keys associated with them, except for one, which was expired. I exported and deleted the SolarWinds-Orion cert anyway, then ran the Configuration Wizard as described in the link that you posted.…

SW Staff: Through your testing, have you noticed benefits on running on 64bit? We don't see much of a difference.

Thanks Jiri, that is what I thought but when I run the query below in SQL i get data back but when I put it into the SQL User Experience monitor I get errors: Query: select count((availability*100)/100) as Up FROM OPENROWSET('SQLOLEDB','1xx.1xx.1xx.2xx\OVISREPORTER';'MyUserName';'MyPassword', 'SELECT * FROM…

It may be old, but it did give me some useful information to think about while I figure this all out. I wasn't aware that you could have more than one poller attached to a device, but I may have missed it in the documentation. I'm also going to presume that it (or something very similar) will work with NPM 12.0.1?

I don't believe we are currently collecting the EnergyWise information. I don't remember seeing anything in the config about it anyway. I looked at several of the switches (via List Resources) and the EnergyWise box is not checked. A related question to the original one. When I ssh'd into several of the switches and had it…

I don't think we're polling it, but I'm not certain. What would I check on Solarwinds or the switches to see if it is turned on and the stuff it needs to see is enabled?
-
ok. I'll have to try that and see if that helps.
-
any more thoughts on this? will mrk as NOT answer for the time being as i have lots more questions :-)
-
brilliant, thank you for the great reply! so basically: - I can deploy a federated collector to each of my customer sites that will pull back all information about their VMware infrastructure. - I will deploy a central Virtualisation appliance at my Data center - Central Appliance will poll the remote collectors for data…

That is my issue is I'm trying to export all the results to a excel file for review and its limiting me to 50, just seems kind of stupid to have that data there and not be able to easily export it out for review. I'm using it right now to try and figure out which machines I haven't already moved page files so I have a…

Hey, So what I'm looking for is to reduce as much as possible the requirements for every scripts going to our Solarwinds instance. At the same time, I'd like to keep tracking on who's doing what for reporting purposes. When it comes to automated systems, it is fine, I have a set of specific service accounts for each of…

yes yes, please post... i need to do this on 5 installations
-
You rock. I've had a ticket open for a while trying to get this working!!
-
I grabbed this installer but it won't install on a Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC device. Should it?

I am looking to do a similar thing with our backup software. I want Solarwinds to tell me when a backup fails and one of the techies here said why not get Solarwinds to read the info mails that the backup software sends to a mailbox. So i'm going to try this.

7.In your browser, click on 'Show page source' to see the html code for the page. 8. Scroll down until you see a section similar to: <td> <img src ="/NetPerfMon/Chart.asp? Chart=MMAVGBPS&NetObject=I:188&Period=Today&samplesize=1H&&FontSize=&Width=640&Height=0&Style=Default" border="0"> </td> 9. Copy those 3 lines. Go to…

Instead of a multiple object chart, why not try creating a separate chart for each object, saves you having to click on the view options then. This might be a workaround until you can get the multiple object charts working.

When I looked at those templates it looks like you have to have access to the mail server. I need to check that a message exists every set amount of time. If it does, then delete (or move) it. If it does not exist, then send an alert. If these templates can do that, please let me know how.

I think in the first search case when you drag over from the refine fields into the default empty text search, for some reason it's not replacing it, it's dumping what you see into it. Instead, I think if you empty out the default empty box search (hit the X when you hover), THEN drag up your refine field, it might work.…

That works! Thanks for the help!

Thanks so much for you very thoughtful and detailed reply, jrouviere. Still chasing what feels like a ghost. The machine in question is not onsite today but I did fail to check its running services (just the services in Task Manager). I did run Wireshark and it captured the conversation. I just do not know why they are…

This might have a very obvious answer, but where did you find the variables to pull from orion? NPM_RoutingNeighbor.ProtocolStatus, Interfaces.Type?
-
Any follow up on this? I am seeing the exact same problem. Basic alerts stopped working (they are all enabled). Once I send a test message, they all come flooding thru. It is like they are stuck in a queue, and the test message flushes them out. What was the result of this? Any fixes? Thanks! Raymond

I tried to create a new report in Report Writer and executed the SQL it fails on the first statement with "SQL ERROR: Line1: Incorrect Syntax near '<' ". Does this have to be done in SQL Enterprise Manager? What am I not understanding here?
-
I know, that is why I put it in a feature request. I am sure that the Solarwinds guru's could gen up something and incorporate it if there is enough interest. I don't want to create a resource or another map as it takes up too much room on the page. All I need is an icon.

This sounds really intriguing, but I'm not sure I fully understand the question. Can you provide an example of a scenario that would require or benefit from what you are asking, and apparently, what DWMRC supports? Thank you!
-
Very useful start, thank you, just what I needed.
