Orion uses database credentials and EOC uses Windows/AD credentials. Our plan is to allow Orion to support Windows/AD credentials.

Denny, Given the all the different display needs for different user applications are there any plans to enhance the layout capabilities using a CMS style layout system? For example the following layout would be very helpful for NOC stle applications small map1 - small map2 - small map3 - small map4 biiiiiiiiiiiig…

No I didn't - the first time. I stopped the NPM service (takes a LONG time to stop) and updated the Vendor to 'American Power Conversion Corp' and it took. I check the Vendor via SQL and it was set. I checked the sysoidid and it was 1.3.6.1.4.1.318. I compared it to others in the same vendor range and they have…

Umm, OK, but that didn't really help much. What all data is gathered? Where is it reported? Where can I get so deeper detail regarding this interface? I'm sure I am missing something obvious.

yes, this works. thank you.

It's definitely on the list.

From what I've read it seems that if the user replies to the email (instead of clicking the "add note" link within the email) it will end up creating a new ticket. I was hoping someone might clarify this for me.

NetFlow Receiver Service [ORION] is receiving a NetFlow data stream from an unmanaged device (x.x.x.x). The NetFlow data stream from x.x.x.x will be discarded. Please use the Orion System Manager to add this IP address in order to process this NetFlow data stream. This error means that you're sending NetFlow data to the…

Ok! Thanks for you response.

Thank you for the suggestion. I already had the interface assigned. I went and doublechecked and it is assigned. I just can't figure out why it returns the number from the controller...which is 2108 and not the number from the interface, which is currently sitting at 1 CRC. I really want to get this working, any other…

Does your password have any special characters in it such as # ? or &? There's a known problem with special characters in passwords with the 8.5 website. We should have a fix for it soon, but in the meantime you can workaround the problem by using alphanumeric passwords.

I have asked them to create a demo ADFS environment to test that workability, but so far nothing (I'm not expecting it today, but would be nice for them to better support their own product capabilities). There's some pretty important bugs they haven't included into 12.3 that I would like to wait on before implementing or…

I would wait until they release the first (or second) hot fix of 12.3 before even thinking about upgrading or putting into production.

Yes PLEASE share!

Update : Seems like this pertains to any custom property. Reproducible by the following steps. 1. Create a custom property through the web GUI (not a drop down) 2. Set the custom property as an account limitation 3. Go back to the web GUI and make it a drop down 4. Account Limitation builder no longer shows it in the list

Hello Peter, inspired by your post i have written a small PHP function using CURL to suspend a monitor. I had to adjust your regex pattern a bit and the post string. You must put the monitor id in the ost data and not into the url otherwise it does not work. <?php # enter your ipmonitor url e.g.…

If you're using Orion NPM 9.1, it will automatically recognize the ESX servers and poll VM-specific and ESX-specific data from them. Have you tried just managing an ESX server and then clicking on the ESX node to see what you get?
