Yes, I could do that and return some arbitrary statistic. It will affect the average and trend lines for the statistic though. It would be nice to be able to exit a script without writing any result at all. Do you know a way to do that?

Here you go. I am receiving some emails just not all so I guess this should be set up correctly.

There is a few of areas that concern us: 1 - SQL performance, it seems to beat the heck out of SQL - we have had to bring up a dedicated box with 14 drives raid 10 just to get 1/3 of this amount online. 2 - The mgmt interface seems lacking when working with so many rules and elements - it becomes hard to find things and…

I guess I assumed purdue98 wanted to omit it from a resource view. What do you need?!?!

I think what is happening is that my Import job is just skipping over the existing nodes. I'm trying to make the Unmanaged Custom property in NCM tied to the UnManaged status from NPM and have it update daily with my import job.

thanks for the reply. I think I am dreaming as I saw an update thought it was on this thread that EngineID is the one determining which polling engine is assigned. This I didn't know. Once I change engineID and do the discovery on the primary, it worked like a charm. thanks!

You might want to discuss with the Huawei engineer how the template can be edited to match one of the above protocols. Additionally, you can ask in the NTA Feature Request forum to support NetStream protocol: Hi! What specific template will going to edit? because as per our client, huawei may not want to adjust for this. I…

Well, actually, Josh C., the Dev Lead for APM, pointed out to me that you can created an alert based on APM: Component alert and select "Process Instance Count" as the variable. So you can alert on it. I remembered that we'd heard it, but I forgot that we'd addressed it. Doh!

Currently we use reports for all devices availability by region, we also then have a report which states all manufacturers availability within that region, then we have finally a list of each device in that region and availability. I'd love dynamic reports, where you can select a date range, view the data in graph and…

Anyone from Product mgmt care to respond?

Can you give me an example of what the random nodes are named? Do you have nDepth full log storage enabled? Do you have Apache Error also enabled, or just Access? There's a detection engine that tries to extract node names from log data to make sure they appear in Manage > Nodes. It sounds like it may be mis-detecting…

Just to add: we went from 8.5 straight to 9.5...I had to re-write a bunch of custom resources in .NET. That being said, the 9.5 web UI (at least I think so) is MUCH improved. The use of .NET charting not only looks sooo much nicer, but also has more flexability- such as trend lines and not being limited to chart widths of…

Hi, I have managed now to get the server rebooted and no change. I've not tried the iisreset as yet but I have tried several machines especially ones that worked before and no joy. Emptied the cache as well, IE still won't expand and Firefox won't collapse When I went to edit a filter on a resource the "Show Filter…

rkearney You need to user parentheses to make make rules inclusive of eachother, like above do you want (rule2 or rule3) or do you want (rule 1 and rule 2) or rule 3 or rule 4. Hopefully this makes sense to you, if not trial an error will probably yield the results. Keep in mind this is just a truth table of AND, OR…

Make a config block based on a multiline regex Then look for what you want after you have the mulitline regex config block working. If you paste an example block of what you WANT it to look like, I will type it up and screenshot it for you.

I am still looking and have not found anything. I did look in the NCM Content Exhange but nothing besides the complex SQL's. If you know of anything to help me out please let me know. Thank you..

Hi, is it safe to truncate this table? Actually is the 2nd most large table in our DB (3.7 GB !) Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for the quick response. Do you mean exactly the same rules for license count applies between physical and virtual machines(nodes, interface and volumes whichever is higher)?

Solarwinds support was able to help with the Regex. Here are the details.. ltm pool pool_name { load-balancing-mode least-connections-member members { server1:http { address x.x.x.x session monitor-enabled state down } server2:http { address x.x.x.x session monitor-enabled state up We ended up going with this Regex state…

I started the RPC on both my solarwinds server and my exchange server and when I tried to assign the template and test it gave me the same error: Testing on node FFA-IN-VEXMB1.ffa.org: failed with 'Down' status. Output: ============================================== Message: Wrong version argument. Should be 2007 or 2010.

We did fix an issue related to large volumes in 9.5. It should take care of most, if not all, cases where folks were seeing incorrect sizes.

Thanks Mav Its great to see this type of support from a company like SolarWinds, its a pleasure working with people like you. Kind Regards James

Thanks for your help so far. I will do quite many changes to the script once I get it fully working like this. It's much easier to add functionalities when I can also test it. I got the script working with your example. However I still cannot quite get what was wrong with my original output even though I went through the…
